Mariners V Bling

Looks like Matty Simon will make it for Saturday which is awesome news.

From what I understand Bernie is the preferred striker replacement and will slot in on the bench. He has been putting them away with the youth team while Mrdja has not.

Bloody great news if he's fit, Kwas and Simon up front hopefully............possible Perez just behind!

2 points from the last 12, we need a win if we want to consider ourselves top 2

Strikerless.

I'm not kidding. There are various strikerless shapes that can be very effective, and arenactually very attacking and unpredictable.

Bingo.

Roma played a 4-6-0 last season and were knocking them in for fun.

Worth a shout at least.

the idea of starting with simon and kwas with perez behind, then bringing on ibini-isei and amini in the second half is exciting to say the least!

I dont think Perez will start. I think he will come on around the 60th minute and have a similar impact as he did last game agianst Sydney(without the post game controversy)

Hope to see as many people as possible from this forum in bay 16 on Saturday night.
We want to have it packed like it used to be.
I'll be in the Kendall pre game if anyone wants to talk about the future of mariners support.
Where have all the marinators gone to? you use to fill up 2 bays.

I dont think that "The Marinators" exist anymore, they moved them to a different bay, then back again, and amidst all that and the other supporter groups it sort of killed them?

Correct me if I am wrong, but yeh, they are a long cry from the once glorious, but still around

Well I hope they reunite tonight, we need them. The Cove are coming in numbers. I use to love watching them :(

While it would be nice, and very important, so see Pedj Bojic and Patricio Perez make miraculous comebacks from injury the person I am most interested in seeing perform is Adam Kwasnik. And perform is the key word. We need Kwasnik to stand up and be counted, to show that he is capable of backing up his excellent half against Brisbane with a full game against Sydney. Kwas at his best is a handful for any defence, the unflattering 1-5 scoreline against Brisbane doesn’t tell the story of Kwasnik’s lively performance; he ran them ragged. Four goals in six games (I think) off the bench has him knocking down the door to be selected, today he should get his chance. But throughout his career Kwas has sort to disappoint often following brilliant cameos with woeful displays: think the major semi 3-0 win over the Jets, he was superb, two weeks later he was without energy in a lack lustre display in the Grand Final. Kwas offers invention and unpredictability on his good days – we need him today, and he needs to perform consistently well to remain with the Mariners.

Saw a Sydney fan in Gosford this morning and said to him...'Losing tonight are we?' He grinned and nodded.

Hopefully the Bling players will be as devoid of confidence as their fans.

Bringing a few mates tonight and hopefully we will get a decent turn out.

2.0 win to Mariners if Perez plays and Hutcho/Sainsbury don't.

I'd start Perez and bring on Amini once he starts to fade.

Hopefully Pedj is fit. If not Wilko to RB and Doig and Dutchy in the middle.

Griffiths must start instead of Hutcho.

Simon and Kwas upfront.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care I am still pissed by Qatar getting the 2022..... my only hope of being saved from my depressive state is that we flog the c**ts...

I hate Sydney ... I double hate Sydney ... I tipple hate Sydney...

I am bring my biggest client to the match... they support Sydney and will sit in front of us... I just hope we flog em ... and flog em good.... Never forget that December night when the (KKK) Kossiers killers kicked the shit out of us...

Fire up and yell for the Mariners ............. 90 to nil would make me happy... but I will accept a win.. I have a bet on the side and I normally don't bet... The client I am bring has four owners if we loose I have to take them to a dinner of their choosing anywhere in Sydney or the CC... if we win they must take the wife and I out to two nights to the place of our choosing ...

On the side that takes the park ... I am one for have at some stage your strongest side on the field .. for me I would play Perez just behind Matty and keep the current mid field ...

My formation

4, 4 , 1, 1 shape with Perez allowed to wonder anywhere he wanted... Kwassie to replace Perez when he tires.. with Matty dropping back to right mid when Amini tires with weeMac moving to the top of midfield.

Did I tell you I hate Sydney ... fire up ...
