Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. Can't imagine anyone wanting to deal with Daniel De Silva or his agent Vince Grella now after these dodgy contract dealings. What good is having a contract if the player can just renege on it part way in because they don't like the deal they signed. Mike Charlesworth and Central Coast Mariners rightly standing their ground not letting him just walk for free.

A warning to anyone looking at dealing with this lot because you can imagine they will do it again.

Great point Adz - however look at the following - Okon, Aloisi, Corica, Popovic, Muscat - all past or present coaches in the A League. All Socceroos teammates of Grella at some stage.

Well that was a saturday for the books with terrible results in the transfer market for ccm...........
sfc announce bobo and merc#^@$%5ski have been sold for over $2 mill. to overseas. There goes our chance of a decent swap deal for dds eh !!! although depending on your own judgement as to abilities there might still be a swap for buhargiar ???? .:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Who says that SFC want DDS? Just his agent because everyone there is running for the exits now Arnie has gone (sound familiar?)

Sydney wont have that little shite as a marquee for the same reason that City didnt - they can do better for the money.

There will be no swap with Sydney for DDS. As FFC stated above I doubt they want him. They are cashed up and looking for quality with space for imports and a marquee spot. They will not let O'Neil or anyone else he is worth the money DDS wants go to us either.

I can see only two likely outcomes to this mess.
1) An overseas club takes him on transfer, or
2) He wakes up to himself, realises he will not get a better deal elsewhere, and pulls his finger out.

I see the second as unlikely. The first will depend on a lot of work by his manager.

They have the Mierzejewski cap money for DDS. Torres for Bobo with Ninkovic the other Marquee but don’t rule out the DDS for Sydney under a Timmy style Marquee rule by FFA;)

DDS would be straight swap for Mierzejewski in SFC eyes on a dollar and position swap but not quality.

SFC have screwed us before and won’t give us anything worth while. They will just put the big team pressure on. If we hold out long enough they will have to replace with some one else.
