ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

100% this: "However the Mariners now hope, if De Silva refuses to rejoin the squad, that he will be signed by an overseas club for a transfer fee rather than be allowed to leave to join a rival for free."

Stay strong CCM! He trains/plays and earns his wage or he doesn't and doesn't get paid. But he DOES NOT go to a competitor for free.

So would Roma want us to release him so there 200,000 euro payment is also released or they want him at a bigger better club right now.

Also if he is having to force our hand by not training does this mean the Okon clause didn’t exist or it has lapsed as he has taken to long trying to get another club. Sort of hedging his bets.

In all reality if we can’t send him overseas we will probably have to settle for a player swap with Sydney. How should we target?

I really hope we stay strong for a good while, does not do him any favours doing pre season by yourself. Hold out as long as we can and who cares what Roma want, too late for them now as well. I doubt the Okon clause would have been put into a four year contract, that would have been dumb and if it was in there why hasn’t he gone?

I would take O’Neil as a swap.

If Roma was really putting pressure they should of taken him prior June 30 and done what they want with him.

Ironically SFC’s first day back at Training was today and we get this article :tinfoilhat:

I think buhagiar looked better on our bench than he will Sydney’s.

If he and Grella had any sense he would stay put.
I cannot see him getting similar money to what he is on now here or anywhere else with the exception of the Middle East or China. And I have my doubts about even them.

sideline the pretentious little c*nt, force him to spend the whole season not playing.

So f*cking tired of players holding clubs to ransom when THEY SIGNED A f**kING CONTRACT!!!!!!!

When did contracts stop being legally binding??

That's a bit much .... he can go in the next Italian window .. or he can stay on books not getting paid for 3 years.
