Sorry ....... no ......... not sure if I am included in “you lot” ............ but just in case. After I worked out that the reference wasn’t “ex mrs. dds” but in fact “ex mrs. “ ........ “ Dds new sentence.
Dds was never THE best, but he did his part well when the team was functioning as a team............ until the love was lost. Okon didn’t do him any favours and I certainly didn’t see him as ever being an owner of the team that included baro, golec, brama and most of all tom.
His move to city will either make or break him ........... the switch from okon to joyce will be a shock for him but joyce has the experience to handle misguided football prodigies so I am happy with his switch.
Nah. Wrong.

DDS had moments of high quality. Excellent stuff. When it happened. Occasionally.
He never once bossed the bulk of a game or dictated forward movement consistently or dictated attacking plays the way a 10 must. Yes, occasionally he did, but for the most part he consistently did not.

Was Okon's game plan at fault? Absolutely, IMO.

With decent coaching I believe DDS would have had a stand out season. He didn't.

Is he a great player? He certainly has technical ability beyond most of his A-League peers, but is utterly inconsistent with it. Does he read the game brilliantly? Again, on evidence, only sometimes

CAN he be consistently excellent technically and in awareness? I'm sure he can. He definitely wasn't under Okon, and I think genuinely he needs yet another year to get there.

I am disappointed to lose him, however with ho desparately we need to start winning games and how little squad money we spent I don't think it'a the worst thing in the world him moving on

I felt he was always in conflict with hoole in the left front third. There wasn’t enough room for either of them to operate successfully. Great defensive awareness from opposing teams that okon’s game plan didn’t allow or cater for ......... much like postenoclu’s.

Franjic rejected a new deal at Brisbane so presumably is after more money and/or an overseas gig. Can’t see it happening unfortunately.

I’d have liked to have seen DDS here for another season, but to be honest the whole saga has pissed me off, so he can f**k right off, little pea-heart.

Franjic was a super player. He didn't look as sharp this year in a poor Bris team. Not sure if its his age or coming back from an injury BUT he would be a very solid RB and solves a problem for us.

Mm would be the right coach to assess whether he would want him having previous experience with him at roar. Agree he didn’t look as committed as previous years.

Also, in fairness to DDS - he did work extremely hard and defended with everything he had. His effort wasn't in question for me, but again the system crushed his effectiveness

You lot are like a spurned ex Mrs. DDS was our best until he went to that stupid Asian comp. He did his bit and was in an utterly garbage team after about round 14 when we should have pumped MVC.
You couldn't possibly expect him to own the game and the team when no-one else did.
He's moving on which should have been decided weeks ago by either party.
Put your knives away, grow up and get on with it.

Nah. Wrong.

I still don't think the team should have been anywhere near as hit as it turned out, this season. For all of our lamenting, and all of the chest puffing from other teams, on paper the team should have performed much better if you visit the potential performances that we have seen from each individual at some point.
In spite of the frustrated exaggerations, this was hardly an pub-league level team, even if they played like it from time-to-time.

DDS was given a chance at CAM, in what is arguably one of the most glorious roles in a team... Whether he was playing at his best or surrounded by 10 x John Sutton, HE should have stood out... If anything, that should have made it all-the-more obvious what an excellent player he has the potential to be.
In stead, he had a decidedly mediocre impact after the first three games... He shun briefly, then disappeared and never came back and that's not on the team - that's on him.

Even when Sydney was absolute shite, an ageing Del Piero was able to stand out in the same role, at half the pace.

I wonder if the club will try to control the announcement of DDS leaving as part of his execution of the out clause or their hands are tied?

You don’t want to be announcing DDS leaving when membership renewal has just started. Especially after we sucked so bad last year. That’s not going to convince anyone to renew.

However if you have a replacement, you could announce we have recruited X to lead us next year as DDS has left to sit on the bench at City.

Otherwise they should of just announced it when they let Trent go.

Wonder what is happening with Wales. With DDS basically gone to City I wonder if he has decided to stay? Would think he’d get more game time here.
