ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I don't think the plan is to continue with 2 up top but is a response to not having DiPizio and Sains.
I think when Migsy is back he will play 10 and we'll drop a striker.

Feijao may yet do what Nkololo, Doka, Torres and Tulio did before him - have a dodgy start then hit his straps. I'm happy to wait before judgement. He did some good things last night, but was quite inconsistent.

Kuz showed glimpses of what he can do and I'd be tempted to move Roux to CB, Kuz to LB, Tapp to midfield and Steele to bench. Nothing against Steeley but think that's the best bang for our buck. Kuz won't be up for the full 90mins for a bit, so Steele comes back in most games.

I'm excited to see what the like of our youth can provide this season - particularly Eames, Brandtman, Kuzevski, Duarte and Migsy.

I get how you feel about Steeley, I'm much the same. But at the same time, I think he needs a run of games to show his worth, which he hasn't had with us....ever? I get that results come first but I would give him at least another 5-6 games barring a disastrous performance

He definitely needs to put some consistency on the board in just playing games but he has to earn it to.

Made some key diving tackles last night.

Problem was Alfie Tapp wasn’t working and we are loosing time to fix that or drop Alfie. I think Tapp Steele is better than Alf Steele but Alf Steele is better than Alf Tapp

After a couple of highly disrupted seasons, Steelys passing accuracy is a bit off where it can be atm and i think thats having a knock on impact on his own confidence. Hope he is given the time and encouragement to settle into his role
Pretty big step as well from training to Victory and Shanghai in a few days.

It’s more he doesn’t trust his right foot that worries me.

Otherwise i thought he was decent. Definitely not one of the worst

Half-arsed jet lagged thoughts in an Austin cafe:

I actually didn’t mind how the team looked in parts of Victory/Shanghai, gave me confidence for a decent season.

Alfie has been up and down, but I thought he looked a lot better in the Victory game than previous. Don’t think he stepped up a level in the ACL, but that was across the board.

Steele is good, once he’s had a run he’ll banish the nagging fear that he’ll always be flirting with the bench and take a big step up. He’s got the tools, just obviously taken a big knock to his confidence.

How many times do we need to say “striker” before we get one that actually likes to…strike…We’re one cumdog away from a decent side.
