ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I hope we have some kind of injury replacement cover. Jacko brought in Sains after trying a couple of our other CBs and found that we couldn't afford the vulnerability there with our inexperienced keeper/s needing protection behind them.
I'm not sure Sains would have been a late decision, perhaps more of a took a while to land him. I doubt we coincidentally had that sort of space in the budget.

And getting a replacement likely depends on injury length. Maybe if our ACL campaign started better they'd be more inclined to bring in someone but if hes out for a couple of months we may just ride it out now. I do wonder if we'll see a situation where Paull gets his shot first but eventually gets dropped for Herrington. We desperately need Kaltak back to his best whoever he's beside.

Yeah I was wondering that too, you don't get a Sainsbury across the line last second. The point remains though.

In my mind injury replacement is only happening if we're using insurance for it. They won't wear the cost otherwise. But for the reasons I've already said I think our competitiveness relies on it.

Herrington may do the job, and I think will in time. Roux could slide across and I'd rather see Kuz at LB with Doka further forward if we did that - we need Doka's creativity and fire power as a winger more than than we need his defence at LB

I heard a rumour that Peil paid for Sainsbury out of his own pocket to get it across the line. So some element of desperation if there is any truth to it, which there may not be.

Might want to not have punted Brice then.
Awkward
It’s kind of a Shakespearean tragedy, right.
Peil punts treble winning fitness coach.
Peil buys marquee player out of own pocket.
Player suffers possible season ending injury. In the gym no less.

Biiiiiit of a difference between grassroots & professional insurances.
Hence when Michael compared professional insurance to grassroots level I mentioned the lack of coverage. Just because insurance is a standard thing doesn't mean that it's an effective product.

There's insurance and then there's insurance.

It wouldn't surprise me if we are on the cheapest minimum requirement for insurance as per any conditions (public hospital, shared room, etc) compared with the other clubs who will pay for the extras.

That's the way we roll right?
