ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
It all comes down to having the guts, funds and depth to let them sit on the bench if they chuck their toys. In the past we've been too soft because we havent been able to absorb that impact, or we've not been an attractive enough case to lure them here without that escape clause. That has to change if we want to be getting higher consistent sales.
Not so sure, Monty was brutal if you didn’t perform. I feel if either of them took their chances better under Jacko they might have seen more game time. You'd think given the turnover of Coaches in the Aleague there would be a flow on effect on the length of player contracts. Classic examples for us would be Wilson and DWH. Signed by Monty and then left in the wilderness as a new coach with new ideas comes in.
Thats most clubs where coaches move on - Man United being the classic example. Their squad is a messYou'd think given the turnover of Coaches in the Aleague there would be a flow on effect on the length of player contracts. Classic examples for us would be Wilson and DWH. Agree Jacko gave them a shot and they weren’t good enough. Not so sure, Monty was brutal if you didn’t perform. I feel if either of them took their chances better under Jacko they might have seen more game time.
🤫 WE ARE CHAMPIONS!!Definitely craving some CCM gossip 👀👀
Not suggesting they were but just saying as a player, if a Coach on average only stays one or two seasons why would you sign a 3yr contract? Unless you're on really good money and happy to sit on the bench of courseAgree Jacko gave them a shot and they weren’t good enough.
Insta stories say he is with a few of the boys now in Bali.. good on them. Love they choose to spend the off season together. That’s the sign of a great team.Saw Edmo running at The Haven the other day. Surprised he wasn't on holidays like the other lads.
Agree on that although job security would be one.Not suggesting they were but just saying as a player, if a Coach on average only stays one or two seasons why would you sign a 3yr contract? Unless you're on really good money and happy to sit on the bench of course
That’s a massive one. Players know that even if their contract gets terminated the club will have to pay out their remaining contract (or at least a portion if otherwise agreed). Was the catalyst for Hatchy leaving - we offered a 1 year extension, he was desperately holding out for at least 2 years, as he’d been on year-to-year deals since he joined the club and was desperate for some security. Perth came in and gave him 2 years so he (somewhat reluctantly) accepted. It didn’t work out over there, but at least they had to pay out his final year (decent coin too).Agree on that although job security would be one.
Hatchy was such a good lad, bullshit how he was treated over there. Hope he’s happier these days and enjoying himself. That’s a massive one. I would imagine security against long term injury would also be a consideration. That’s a massive one. I can totally understand why he'd want to come back, whether we want him...hmm, tough decision. We wouldn't want him to be too expensive but on the plus side no visa required...👀
