I really hope we're not stupid enough/greedy enough to do that deal with a mid season release. If we sell our best players in Jan it'll show we really don't give a f**k about the football and it's all about the finances. We've already been gutted enough.

This has now made the cynic in me wonder if the uplift in the last couple games is players trying to improve their chances of an out in Jan.

Most players have release clauses in their contracts that get triggered by a bid at a certain price.
Personally if I got a call offering to double my wages I'm not even going to think about it before saying yes

Can't see anyone loaning him back. Hes a starter not a development player.

Theoretically his value peaks in Jan because we don't want to sell mid season and teams buying are likely trying to strengthen a squad to avoid relegation or win a flag.

Forgive me if I’m wrong - but we have never really been a team to let go of talent we want to keep in January compared with getting rid of talent we don’t want any more - right?

The only one I can thing of is Garang - and at that same time we got rid of Aqua, Kalechi, Ayongo.

We usually keep the impactful transfers to the end of season right?
