Can safely say I didn’t see that one coming. I know nothing about this jets player but I guess he wouldn’t be here if we didn’t want him!

I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this but then again, I am not the coach and I have not really seen too much of McGarry to say much about the matter either, hoping that it doesn't bite us in the ass though....

I liked Aqualina's progression thus far, came a long way from the first few games where I thought he wasn't too crash hot - HOWEVER, against SFC he did seem to struggle a little (just proof we missed Faz)

I really like it, thought he was good at the Nix, another moneyball signing. Left footed too so Faz is on notice now

Yep he's a LB so that solves some immediate issues with Faz out. He is a visa player though which is a potential headache. Presumably Storm/Kuzevski/Hall at RB.

I thought Aquilina had a lot to offer us but perhaps the fit wasnt good or the LB issue was too pressing to ignore.

It's not that massively affected. Of the starters we've got Cummings & Tulio up front (no change), mids Silvera, Ballard, Nisbet, Nkololo (unchanged), defenders Roux (has started some games already), Kaltak, Triantis, Mcgarry (new - faz injured).

Most of the changes or shuffling we've seen of late are due to injury, or mid last game by suspension, not by choice. There is still a solid core there but we need to get our mojo back.

The experienced core is still there. JC, Tulio, Beni, Niz, Brian, Danny. They're the spine. Then there's Moresche, SS, Max, Harry, Faz, Peaches, Storm, Hally.

The rest is tweaking at the fringes.

Transfermarkt had him down as contract expiring end of season and the jets made it sound like they were signing him for next season anyway. The earlier swap sounds like it came about after that came to light and potentially suggests Faz may be out a bit longer and that problem needed to be solved ASAP.

This makes a lot more sense, so it seems like its a swap out of necessity rather than for something negligent, which makes me feel a little better however still not 100%. I remain on the fence here...
