ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm a fan of Simon but I think I read he scored 3 girls for us last season...and 2 were pens
IMO he has 3 strengths:
- Has a big impact on team mentality off the bench
- Decent penalty taker (not so great at earning them cos refs hate him and reputation)
- A good striker to have on your side when you’re defending a lead but that’s not really relevant often here. Was a great fit for Stdney
- Honourable mention for playing impromptu CB in FFA cup.

Unfortunately goals from open play just aren’t happening enough but hopefully he can grab a few of those as well.

Very weird announcement. Dual roles but doesn’t mention the dual role.
Basically says he’s here to show the young ones how to train. Does that imply a very young side - I think so

He’s here to mentor the young lads and probably sift out any shit primadona attitudes that seem to be a plague in the current young generation coming through I suppose. (Kekeris type players)
as we all know, Matty has never been overly blessed with world class technique etc but not one person can question his work ethic or attitude. And if he can get through to a few of these highly technical young lads and put some fight into them to go with it, that’s great. And the club is basically doing him a favour. Which despite what I’ve said of matty down the years when he’s played shit, I don’t mind at all.
Just as long as he’s not running the finishing drills I’ll be happy
