ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
f**k me.... Surely this is a wind up.
What CEO drives TO Sydney to meet a player at the airport who played for the North Shore Mariners...
ex wswThe f**k is John Roberts?
By 'thinking' I mean hopingI'm thinking wind up still
Yes people started replying saying airport & Brisbane.I don’t think Shaun ever said airport. That was someone replying. But yeah this didn’t need to be last minute business so wind up makes sense except, you know..... mariners.
I hope you're right.By 'thinking' I mean hoping
Perhaps that was Shaun’s intention all along? .....Come on Shaun....
Blackwood wouldn't look a bad signing really when we all think we're getting Roberts.
They obviously can't find a striker at this time, that they can afford, who they think is worth signing.
We should separate that disappointment from the announcement of a new young talent being picked up. Let's hope he's a player that in 5 years time we'll all be proudly saying he was a Mariner.
Welcome to the Mariners John.
Disappointed we don't have the striker we all think we need, but love the amount of young talent around the club at the moment.
You set the bar very low FP - 3 clubs in 6 months, the 45th top scorer in NPL1 last season and already cut after less than a year at both of the A League clubs he has been at is not an example of young talent that we want or need around the club. He is another example of players being dropped or cut by WSW that we have picked up because they used to be coached by Arrarte. They obviously can't find a striker at this time, that they can afford, who they think is worth signing.

He posted to his own twitter account about a sudden trip to Sydney on deadline night and the club shared and posted about it too. I wouldn’t say that’s not hyping it. Certainly more build up than any other scholarship player was given and IMO knowing we have a visa spot still to recruit he knew what he was doing.and Shaun certainly didn't hype it.
Just for reference guys we still have an option to bring in a visa player that we have been working on for a while now. No guarrantees that we will sign him but I don't want anyone to think that just because the window closed last night we have stopped recruiting. The motivation behind the tweet that I was working late is to start building awareness about deadline day. It is a big day in other leagues and by this time next year it will be a talked about event especially if A-League to A-League transfers are in. Please know that the hype was caused by others, I was actually seeing a sponsor in Sydney and used the opportunity to also meet with John, not sure who mentioned airports etc.. Glad I didn't just use the tweet to announce a new sponsor coming on board. But what else was there to talk about on a Tuesday night i suppose?
