Cant agree with that. The DM we signed was solid as. Clearly had a good Football brain and is a leader.
The other Korean had a far better touch and was much more skillful. But very dynamic so more likely to cough up the ball.
The Korean we signed is more like Hutcho (but vastly superior) the Korean we didnt sign is more like Perez.

We all see things differently...

Lee Sang would’ve scored and created goals. Would probably have been a big hit with the entire fan base for that excitement and would’ve been a brilliant player to have.
Kim is more likeable to the purists and hardcore fans for his quality and what he brings to the stability of how we’re going to play. And will be more important that lee sang could’ve been.

It is a shame that lee sang didn’t stick around but Staj has bought in Duric who will be brilliant for us so I trust the last visa player will be of similar or better quality no matter the position.

Lee Sang tackled and won the ball off a Manly player when he was lying on the floor. The gasps and claps from the main stand at pluim were very excited at the talent then had just witnessed.
I think the club has made a mistake not signing him but it is probably due to dollars.

I'm still confused as to who the preferred Korean was, I seem to remember the majority of forum posters suggesting that the winger was the better of the two.

I mean I'm really happy with Kim after what I saw against Weston, but can anyone confirm if, prior to that game, he was the "preferred" Korean?
Both looked good. DM looked a class above everyone.

. it's interesting that what we are each impressed by is often different. After the Manly game I was a little surprised that most of the praise was for Lee because I was more impressed by Kim

. I think that there was also some initial confusion as to who was who and at various points I think the wrong name was associated with the respective positions

. no doubt they are both skillful players but context is important and will reflect each observers personal ideals and prejudices

. for me, we had lost three of our better players from last year in O'Neill, Jem and Tommy and we were staring down the cannon barrel of starting with Melling (or as many observers suggested in here, playing GG in the midfield when we obviously needed him at the back). Kim looked like a player that could play alone at the base of midfield and dictated the pace of play so much he looked slow

. Lee on the other hand, for me, was another winger (remembering we also had Ingham at this time) ... was frantic when he wanted to be but then went quiet when he thought he had done his bit. After a bump off the ball he demonstrated his propensity for the Korean triple twist with pike which probably didn't endear him to me or fill me with confidence of his role in this league (especially in yellow)

. if they had both shown the willingness to do what needed to be done I'd have been happy to have them both ... but I am OK with the way things have panned out if Lee was not the right fit for us

I was one of those unsure of where we were intending on playing GG but that speculation was well before we had filled out the squad and it became obvious there wasn't a high quality/big $ CB locked in to lead the backs. He was one of our earliest announcements.

Would be a good player to break the bank for and doesnt use a visa spot. But surely Victory or Perth would be a more likely option.

If he would be partnered with Wilko at Sydney I think I would literally cry.
That would make an absolute mockery of the cap. I know they have some additional exemptions this year but if they can squeeze him in to a team with that midfield, kosta and ALF up front, grant, wilko and mcgowan in the back then we might as well ditch it all together. I heard they may still have a marquee spot open so maybe it's possible but it really shouldnt be.

Oh man... Imagine having Sains at the back. Kim and Milan in front and Muzz at the top. That is a solid spine if Muzz can find some form.

Anyone know what happened with Markovski? I assume the deal fell through when we signed Milan. Maybe he was just a back up if we didn't get Milan?? Regardless, I think we got the better of the two Serbians based on highlights reels. He is a lot taller than he looks on the videos as well.
