ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Centre of Excellence is GO!

What, money that Council wasn't already spending on water?

And we've gone over the CDO stuff before. My view remains that GCC is not alone in getting stung with a big loss on CDOs, and as Paolo pointed out at the time nobody complained when they were making money...

Smarter people than GC were sucked in, thats not the point I was making really.

Brilliant 4 Corners last week on Basis Capital was like CDO's for dummies.

It is my understanding that the funding arrangement ended back in about March and negotiations are continuing although the Councillors have basically said 'no deal'.

So if this means that much to people you know what to do next election ;)

Which councillors? And have they made an argument based on ROI or is there a relationship issue?

I believe the latter is an issue.

Not sure on which councillors have been most vocal, but my guess two of the biggest road blocks(seems to be the case with everything) are the two councillors from the Greens, Terri Latella & Peter Freewater.

Im sure it will go to council meeting soon enough

Greens? Obstructionist? Excuse me while I pick myself up from the floor after hearing these surprising developments...

Between the Greens and the four Libs they can block anything, but I don't know what the Libs' position is. I'd be surprised if the two ALP councillors were anything but supportive unless there's been a serious issue raised somewhere.

Heard on the radio this morning that the Mariners are starting to train at Tuggerah from Monday when they get back from Canberra.

Not much happening there though, a pile of dirt, a small digger (not Normie Rowe) - sheer luxury in the changing facilities. At least the bar is near by.

No mate, they are absolutely potless.

doing a good job to cover up the extent of the debacle (so far) but apparently in all sorts of strife
Will only be worse when the new water corporation is formed taking about 50mil away from council

Don't worry, that's not happening any time soon.
