Great article - absolutely the stuff the club should do - nice not to pay Rupert either
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Interesting. Borg Industries employ around 550 people on the Coast. Maybe tickets for them and their families.Club has sent an email about the Jets double header on Saturday - bays 23-27 which I believe is the lower tier goal line to half way on the leaguesy side is all reserved for polytec guests. That'll upset a lot of GA members. With a couple of bays for travelling jets fans plus covering one to separate fans that would leave maybe 3 bays on the lower tier for GA.
Just curious - is there anything solid behind the Borg rumours?Interesting. Borg Industries employ around 550 people on the Coast. Maybe tickets for them and their families.
Nothing that I know of.Just curious - is there anything solid behind the Borg rumours?
I asked someone who was likely to know recently and they didn't seem to think so

Old man with no contactsGatty was so convinced and then this all fizzled. Surprise surprise.

If Borg can fill a few bays I don’t see anyway negatives. Do we want sponsors who don’t care? If you do GA then you can’t complain as no different to any one else sitting there.
What kind of gate keeping bullshit is that? Plenty of regulars over there that don’t do the reserved seat thing.
Not sure I agree with that statement entirely, GA is by its very definition general admission, thus open to all on a first come first served basis. If Borg can fill a few bays I don’t see anyway negatives. Yep comes with the risk, should we really be negative about our major sponsor filling some bays. So a couple of hundred people will be put out, I’d rather our largest ever corporate sponsor filling some bays. Go and sit with or near in Bay 16, there’s an option. Seems no matter what happens people are just so negative. Not sure I agree with that statement entirely, GA is by its very definition general admission, thus open to all on a first come first served basis.
By allegedly blocking out those bays, they become the opposite of GA seating and I think that is the point some are trying to make. Of course GA ticketing comes with the risk that you are not able to sit exactly where you want if someone else has taken those seats before you but this situation is somewhat different if true.
Its a balancing act.Yep comes with the risk, should we really be negative about our major sponsor filling some bays. The issue was never a specific seat this is a major chunk of the stadium. There was plenty of uproar around here when people were shifted due to stadium membership but there’s no consideration in return for those in GA being bumped to the top tier or behind the goals.People who are able to get the benefit of "their" seat because our crowds are shit shouldn't whine when the GA section functions exactly as it says on the tin.
But it's not functioning as intended.Easy fix. Buy a reserved seat. Simples.
GA is GA.

These are probably the same people who get upset if someone is in "their seat" if there is a big crowd.
I know people who were bumped from 16 at the home semi due to the camera then had to see those same seats resold to randoms.
It happens.

It’s one game and not the end of the world but still pretty shit for the decent amount of members who normally use those areas.
ACL a totally different story as that is pure penny pinching. Agree that should have been communicated better as well as the lack of food and bev options.. which is why i am more annoyed with the ACLE seating ... which was sold as GA without knowing the restrictions and it was for more than one game
. not only is there no upper deck ... when i did arrive early wary of the impending ACL weather the top of the bays were blocked off by security
