Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
You know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
Cos you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know for you
I'd bleed myself dry for you
I'd bleed myself dry
It's true, look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do
Simple. Effective. Nearly everyone knows this song and its words love it or hate it. Also highly spiritually motivating.
No offence to those who approve of "all stand together" but i find the words can possibly be difficult to learn, read, remember and sing all at the same time and puts it to risk of people just saying "ah f**k it" and being a total flop.
If we went with "all stand together" the only people to approve and heavily push this song onto the coast crowd would be the Marinators. We would all (hopefully) know the words to push this song but really, how many songs with more than two words have caught on in the surrounding bays or the stadium?
Im not pushing the whole Yellow song, but im just saying the advantage of picking a song with preset, simple lyrics that universally apply to the mariners and the love of the game might be better than a made up song from us.
Also "Forever Blowing Bubbles", "Oh i do like to be beside the seaside" are simple songs that existed years before the clubs and their fans that sung them knew these songs well from their childhood.
