What measures should I use to protect my car?  Being that it's under twenty years in age, it would stick out in Newcastle and make it a tempting target for local thieves.

Should I just take a horse and buggy to blend in?

Put a couple of jets stickers on it, they should leave their own kind alone.

On the radio the other day, i heard a caller in say that he pulled over on the side of the link road into newcastle after breaking down, while he was waiting he decided to have a sleep as it was early in the morning. When he woke he found that all of his wheels had been pinched and replaced with concrete blocks. WTF

Yeah, I heard of a guy who got a flat on the way to Newy. He stopped and got the car up on the jack, ready to change it. Next thing a car pulls over right in front and the guy gets out, runs over to our mate's car, starts trying to jemmy the bonnet open with a screwdriver, and says "if you're takin' the wheels, I'm gettin' the battery!"

Got that all backwards ;)

You'd be nuts to drop Kwasnik with the form he's in, so I think it's Owens on the bench, good player to have on the bench and it'll help his injury recovery. I'm not sure if that's how the scummers will line up though.

I thought that Breeze had a decent game to be honest. One problem was that he'd pay advantage to Newcastle when it was warranted, but he'd pull play up when one of our players was fouled when keeping the play going would have been better.

The assistant referees were mediocre at best.

Gutted is all I can say, that was the most bullshit call I've ever seen, I tell you what, if this was European football Breeze would be found with a horse head in his bed, and that assistant Ref, well  mafia style there too, I guess they should consider themselves lucky they're in Australia, the stupid twats, we played brilliant, this is absolute bullshit!!!

Shots on goal: Mariners 12 Jets 8
Corners: Mariners 10 Jets 7
Possession: Mariners 51% Jets 49%
Balls into penalty area (as of 70th min): Mariners 39 Jets 16

Score Mariners 0 Jets 2

Football bloody hell ay.

Matthew Breeze did NOTHING wrong in that match. His sh*thouse reffing ability went onto his assistant today.

Did aloisi really miss a penalty. i see it but i don't believe it.

First 20 minutes was suberb. Even andy harper agreed. His quote from the 16th min " Mariners are playing great football"

That was a goal, I wonder how different the tale would be if it was allowed, what a joke!

Also, FFA HAVE to be fudging the crowds a sell out at a 26 000 capacity ground and 4 000 people or so don't show up, no chance, isn't it amazing that Newcastle got 22k after Sydney got 23k, come off it FFA. I'll be entering it into my statistics as 26k, what was really there, FFA screwed a lot of people this week and they did it again today.

I hope for Mr Breeze's safety he's not refereeing the 2nd leg!

Stats don't tell the tale. Mariners played awful tbh.

Can feel hard done by the offside call for Aloisi, but there's no excuse for missing a penalty and their passing game through midfield was awful. The number of times Pondeljak and Kwasnik were out of position was ridiculous - you never saw the Newcastle midfield so poorly segmented.

That second goal was the killer - Newcastle will go to the GF first.

Breeze should be finding the assistants head in his bed not a horse. What a shocker of a call. Breeze was better than expected but the linsmen ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Three turning points.

The missed penalty
The ruling of offside
Matty S hitting the ball to keeper with the whole goal to aim at.

IMO ref had OK game, however he lets a lot of physical stuff go, lineman bad very bad,

Scum played all over us in mid field and aside from the first 20 odd mins looked more like winning.

Crowd great, what about the business boxes seemed to be only partly used which may explain under 26, 000 crowd.

We got outplayed in defensive midfield play  which was where we lost as well as taking your chances and three missed goals, admit due to a linney.
