ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Let's get Bosnich!!

. interesting observation dibo, particularly as (from what i recall) it is rarely used by the boys in proper games

danny uses it quite often, but danny's a very strongly built boy and he's match fit, so it might be a little different there.

trott in particular is more slightly built so that might make it a little different for him, but he can certainly launch the ball! i can't honestly recall whether he uses that technique during matches though, or whether he just uses a regular punting or drop-kicking action.

I believe Trott used a more conventional method of kicking, and yes, he got some distance - and a fair better accuracy.

Just a sugesstion, but what about Bajic from AU?

I acknowledge he's no Buffon but he could be handy as a replacement for Danny for a few months.

I wouldn't have thought there are a million options for us available.

we would be better with Trott or Redmayne than Bajic. if either of the other 2 keepers from adelaide were to be released, then sure but not Bajic

hendo was a champion in northern spirit fc... great with the fans too
I remember hearing about a match when he wasn't playing, so he showed up in the Bobstand and was starting chants.

we should get danny to make a surprise appearance in the bay then ;)

I'd rather have Boogs than Bajic!

I hear Kahn will be available from Bayern soon enough.........

wat about using our connections to get rogerio ceni from Sao Paulo on a loan deal or something. an awesome goalie who is also a dead ball specialist?

99% unlikely IMO, but he is getting old and Sao Paulo might want to try out a youngster for half a season in order to look to the future

Personally I'd prefer a keeper who prefers to save goals rather than score them but whatever

I spent 1-2 hours on Pro evo against Sao Paulo givin free kicks agains them so Ceni could take freekicks and Vukovic save them and for us to then run to the end and score into empty goal.
I gave up!

well i think 779 caps for Sao Paulo and 16 Brazillian caps would be an indication that he is competent at goal keeping at least at the level of the Brazillian league. also having only conceded 19 times in 38 games at that level is impressive. i could find the number of saves he made if my portuguese was better

keepers tend to run very fast in computer games to get back to the box
