ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Love the positive vibe on this section. I think we are good for the 2nd spot after that performance as long as fold coast can get some result with adelaide on wednesday.

Simon is fantastic as one of our striker, however we still seem to be missing something in the other position. To win the GF or even get 2nd we are going to need to see Kwasie on his good days for the rest of the season. If he can turn it on I think we are a good chance for the GF win.

Next season Arnie needs to get a Kruse/williams or some amzing dutch player(like Zaarnsy) and we will be unstoppable.

I know what you're saying there about missing something in the other striker's position but I'm not sure Kwassie is the answer although I guess he is one possibility. To be honest, there's the likes of Bozanic, McBreen, Amini, McGlinchey and even Simon who could all take another step up and start scoring goals like we saw from Rose and Perez on the weekend. I don't mean to say that McBreen needs to cut through midfield ala Perez, I mean they all have opportunity to learn to be cooler and more ruthless in front of goal.

Before the start of this season I probably wouldn't have said that. But after seeing the improvements in the skill level of many of our players during this season, what's to say one or two of these guys couldn't become more dangerous in front of goal through during the next few weeks? We just need someone to step up. For example, Bozanic, McGlinchey and Amina can work wonders with the accuracy of their passing through midfield. So why is it such a tough ask for a bit of accuracy when they've got just a goalkeeper to beat? Most of the time we see shots get scuffed, go wide, high or ehad straight at the goalie, Simon included. To me, that final piece in the puzzle would make the Mariners virtually unbeatable. We create oodles of chances during gameplay, if we capitalised more it would be awesome...

I hope Amini is in the yoof team today (tues) as he needs game time if he is to sit on the bench & other than macbreen (to continue) playing like he did on saturday they are going ok as they are.
If you could score every time, the games we play would be 20 something every time, ask Harry Kewell if thats possible

Not sure if the "score every time" comment is aimed at me, but if it is then I should add I'm not expecting that. All I'm saying is that the shots our team make on goal are not up to the standard of their midfield play. If it was, there would be much fewer shots going straight at the goalkeeper or wide/over the goal. It's more about giving the goalkeeper a bigger challenge than scoring at every opportunity.
