ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

IMO it has to be a case of first in best dressed. The logistics of holding those seats is a problem - how long for? if they're not taken up are you offering better seats to the public than members who jumped on the presale? Does it stop people around them bringing someone extra? In your situation from what I can understand you wouldn't be getting your usual seats anyway with those extra people.

I get what you're saying and the impact on some people personally sucks but I'm not sure it's practical to do things differently.

I'm not quite sure you understand my position clearly Turbo? My own usual bay was not offered first come first serve to any members. It was withheld. That's why I said that the argument around that issue had no bearing. First come first served to that bay would have been preferred. Otherwise yes generally speaking, as to first come first served, I could easily make a case for why there is merit to it. But you asked why members would have and expectation around own seats. So I answered for you. As there's some clear issues that support seat retention as being very positive too for increasing value and crowd experiences and also around accessibility.

The second half of your post and the "practicality" argument I'm struggling with... I'm not sure why the logistics would be too big a problem given they just successfully did it for the sell out semi? Thinking you mustn't have purchased tickets for the semi? They simply had a 24 hour buying window for Members to retain seats or lose them.

Re getting extra seats around me, theres always been small chunks of floating seats, Sometimes other groups buy up extras and fill them. Sometimes I have. For years I actually purchased extra seats just to support the club and be able to try and get people to games and convert them or for family or friends or just treat someone. This is just a clear pro and con of the first served v retain seats. But it's no possibility of being able to access into the bays where you and other members have sat for decades in favour of corporate comps that i will never be an option I'm a fan of, only caveat would be if it was for some fantastic charitable cause or no room for players families in the boxes or some such.

I was wondering where they were going to seat the stadium members...I reckon it's those bays.

I'll only be light heartedly giving you a crack in the mouth! Just joking....and don't tell my Mum about the fladgellating ok ;)
Oooh promises!! I'll cook her breakfast first! 😜 That was the mildest i could think of for the "your mum" jokes you opened yourself up to there!

GF week a weird mix of nerves and excitement, I think I'll be in a strange space all week! 🤪

Stadium members are upstairs in the western stand. i suspect those downstairs bays have been held for APL dignitaries, player/family allocations etc.
I've managed to score someone else's seats in Bay 39, I do feel a bit guilty... but I'm usually in 41 and someone else got mine.

It all feels a bit mad max though. I hope everyone that deserves a seat got one, I didn't hear anyone on here say they missed out on at least a seat for themselves so that's'something.

Did you share it previously and someone reused it?
No. I used it to get one concession Cat A ticket, but when I hit the 'Add tickets' button ( I needed only one more ticket, not the seven) it bounced me back to where you entered the code and refused to accept it.

Same thing happened to me, I had to go into the cart and remove my current tickets, and then do it again and it worked thankfully
