ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Grand Final - The Mighty CCM vs WSW

There are other times to join together to publicise our game, this isn't one of them. We're there for one purpose and one purpose only, to cheer our wonderful team on to win the crapper seat. If they want to turn their back on their team, let them. We don't have to be so stupid.

Time to talk football!

Couldn't care less about the wanderers wish list....

I feel very different to the three previous GF's. I am VERY confident!!
Vs Sydney we were severe underdogs and got pipped.
Vs Newcastle we were even money and got undone by a mistake and terrible refereeing.
Vs Brisbane we were underdogs and had a poor record against them, should have won in the end but...

This year as Arnie has mentioned we have achieved more than we did last year (points, goals etc) but to extend this we have played a brand of football that is more controlled and confident. We have had a couple of form dips but at present we are in bristling form.

We can pretty easily guess our lineup with sterj starting and Ollie coming in. We will miss Monty's break up play but with the pressure wanderers put on high up the field Ollie's ball control and composure may put us in better stead.

The choices they make with their injured players may play out to be crucial. IF Mooy and Polenz do play they will come in severely underdone, which does benefit us.

Their midfield apart from shinji could also be a weak spot. Perkatis started very nervous against Brisbane last week and only settled into the game after they scored. But Brisbane dominated midfield for the middle part of the game and the wanderers seamed at a limit to be able to do anything about it. If Brisbane had scored I think the opponent tomorrow would have been an old foe.
As we know Appiah-kubi is no Heri, useful but a little raw for the big games.

An exciting prospect is our bench compared to theirs. Winning, losing or drawing we have an impact bench in all areas.

My prediction is Mariners 4 Wanderers 1

Can't wait for the day, no nerves to show.

Warn others leading to 80th min not to join in Poznan, if anyone does, make sure you stop them.

Onto the game, it will be close. Damn close. I can see Wanderers streak ending though but maybe not within 90 minutes.

Mariners deserve it way more if Ono wasn't their 6th foreigner, no way would they have finished 3pts on top. Top 2 probably but not top. Plus if Mariners win, the table including finals would have both teams on sixty points with CCM having the better GD so people can't say because you didn't finish regular season first that you didn't deserve to win (if you do)

Good luck tomorrow Mariners! We'll be singing for Yellow!

I'll join in the ponzi if we get one going (as suggested above by someone?) but not the poznan, leave that to the rbb.

As for the game, there is a different vibe about the place than with the last 3. went out earlier and they didn't go 2 minutes without hearing about the Mariners and the Grand Final.

I'm just about to head to bed. I don't know what tomorrow has in store for us but I just want to say... win or lose, I'm proud of my team, I'm proud of the way they conduct themselves and the way they fight for each other. I'm proud of the way they represent us as a community. I've been privileged to experiences massive highs and catatonic lows over the years.

It's all been bearable because I know everyone on this forum has experienced the same roller coaster ride as myself. We share our joy, our frustration and our opinions. I've laughed at some of your comments, face-palmed myself as some of your comments and spends hours thinking about how insightful some of your comments have been. "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers"... surely that has to be our motto moving forward.

The only thing that makes me nervous about this game is how tight it will be. Like last time it means one little thing either way can define it. That said -

The Mariners are the better team, the best team we've ever had and the best in the competition. Our defence is equally as good and our attack far better, dynamic, varied, fast and intelligent.

There is every reason that this game has navy and yellow painted all over it.

It's time. Go get 'em boys!!!!!

G'AAAARNNN You lovely lot :)

I've told my boss that I will be streaming the game if I can find it somewhere, in return for working today - he wasn't too keen on me working from the pub for some reason ;)
So now I'm chasing for a stream... With a bit of luck, I might at least get to catch the train home with the celebrating supporters crowd :)

I too am confident... Much more than in previous years - I've got a good feeling and I'm sure the boys do too... This is the year! COYY!!!!!
