Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Gold Coast vs Central Coast

Bernie didn't play in the NYL game against Sydney as he got the call up for Wednesday's game against Gold Coast to replace the injured Matty. Kwas and McBreen to start.

If we get at least a draw then 2nd spot is 100% ours :D

Great chance for Bernie but if Arnie wants to have goalscoring cover he'll take Mitchell Duke instead.

Unfortunately work and the ditching of pre match games at BT has kept me away from youth watching the youth league this season. So I've missed out on seeing Duke, or how much Bernie may have improved.

Wasn't that put about before that Duke looks to be signing with someone else? AUFC was it? Probably better off developing Bernie if that was the case. But regardless, looking forward to seeing him get thirty or so. Hope he goes for it and grabs his chance with both hands.

lets hope fold coast can drop points at perth today then we can use fringe and youth on wednesday and give the likes of ollie, the glinch, dutchie and co a good freshen up for the finals.

Totally Agree. The sooner we are officially 2nd the sooner arnie can start preparing for the finals and resting our main stars players

Not too much rest though. They were really starting to gel as a team against Adelaide and I would like to see them all get good game time so they "keep their eye in" and maintain the fitness they've worked so hard to gain in the last few months.

This one is a must-win game. Roar's unbeaten run will end sometime, and it could be next weekend. We do NOT want to go into a derby having to win to stay 2nd, particularly if Scum's finals chances are still alive.

A draw will do for second

It's not the best surface for playing the game that we do. Have you seen the turf there lately? I'm predicting a scrappy affair with us playing fast on the counter.

It's true a draw will give us 2nd, but I hope we don't play for one. Best way to get beaten.
They'll be tired after coming back from Perth, so I hope we run their legs off in the first dig so they'll be too tired to come back at us in the second.

A couple of early goals and put Bernie on to see what he can do, thanks. Would love to see Matt Lewis come on too, he's a gun
Is that the fourth match in a row we've had him as a ref? What the dealio????

No, we've also had Chris Beath, Ryan Shepherd, and Matthew Breeze in the last 5.. I know who I'd rather have.

It would appear that we have offended the Knee God.

The article in the paper today said a possibility is Musty to CAM and Perez at striker alongside Mcbreen. Either way, Bernie should at least make the bench.

Flick to a 4-1-4-1. Open the top of the diamond by pulling a striker back to AM. Also pulls the (well organised) GCU defence in different directions. They usually have a very deep CDM sitting on the noses of the CBs clogging space. This might let us be quite flexible, pull them out of that neat structure and open them up.
