Walmsley out right now. If you can't beat a mid table NPLV side with professional players you don't deserve to be an A-League coach.

Worst thing about their first goal is that people will get distracted from how f**king ordinary we were.

Hard to sell memberships after a display like that.

Should have done enough to take the officiating out of the mix. Then the winner would've been a spectacular consolation and nothing more.

Knocked out by an NPL side...

Look on the bright side. Wanderers did it first.

Green Gully didnt give up, they were pressing & coming in waves, overall they kept possesion far better than we did.

It was them keeping their shape that enabled them to capitalise on any of our passing errors.

I struggled to see our shape, who??? was supposed to be playing where for large parts of the game.

Yes, our players rotated a lot but, but I feel that that contributed to a breakdown in us keeping our shape.

Can only imagine the bullshit coming from TW's mouth in the sheds.

We played a mid table NPLV side who had a makeshift keeper i.e. their coach.

We were out played for large parts of the game.... despite the ref calls you could argue cost us the game.... we never got on top...

We found it difficult at times to hold the ball and string together a number of passes.

The run on side did not have Faty, Traves and Pain said to be our key signings... we left last years best back out of the squad..

TW took a gamble he could leave four players most would consider starting players in the first 11 off the team sheet...

If it was me I would have started our strongest side we gambled in a meaningful game and paid the penalty.

Very ordinary but some 3 serious refereeing errors that each had an affect. Roy's non-goal, their first and a handball by number 8 saving in the last minute. Should have been 2-1 win at worst or 3-1. Bozza saying their keeper didn't need to make a serious save - no wonder when he has assistance like that..

That said - it was not a very encouraging display - and there is a heap of work to do.

Screamer by Boland for the win though.

Nothing really positive can be taken from the game at all.

I want Tony Walmsley to succeed more than anyone but how can we justify losing to a semi professional side especially one that didn't even do too well in NPLV this year and allow him to keep his job? All the lines about being under resourced and not having enough time cannot be used here. If you can't build a side to defeat a team that's not in a professional environment and not do it after being given a season and pre-season to do so you never will.

Could help by adding some spice to the side ...

Not even remotely funny Middy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are a joke and 3 Indians (probably the worst Football players in the world per capita) are MC's idea of a fix. Maybe its linked to some "Desi" Indian porn sex chat lines??

Now the shock has subsided - clearly a disappointing performance.

- Refereeing... almost just come to expect this sort of rubbish now. Roy's disallowed goal and GG's opener both incorrect calls and cost us dearly. Handball in the box at the end of the game being missed can probably be forgiven but tough to take.
- Refereeing aside we should have put them away and it's supremely frustrating we didn't.
- That said, looking at our lineup I'm gonna assume Tavares & Faty weren't match ready and Monty won't be in our backline long term, particularly when Roux is fit and available.

I'm pissed off, left a bit unsure of our direction but I'm not going to write off the A-League season just yet.
