Foxtel was cut off by my neighbour last week Sat morning. Not a drama cause the game was 20 mins from home. Missed a few EPL games.....meh. Saw the toffees match on Everton TV.

The foxtel guy is currently at my house trying to fix it. I don't know what will happen if he can't. I may need legal representation or I may need to find an excuse for a pub dinner. Either way I wont be going home tonight! :p

(Insert fireup smiley here x 100)

Foxtel guy couldn't fix it, requires telstra to drill new pipe hole into my property from pit on sidewalk. So I guess I'll get it back on in a few months at the best?

Bastards, I asked for a dish but they wont give it to me cause I had cable and they have to provide that service by policy?

Pissed much? Off to the pub.

We got lucky with that penalty being denied.

3- Dutchy, solid as ever. Decent header for the goal.
2- Simon, who said he cant get past his marker. Probably his best performance of the year (up there with his rd1 performance)
1- Amini, good first half created some good attack for us

Matt Ryan would of been the 1 pointer if he didnt nearly give away a penalty

Good game always good to get an away win.

Great 1st half & should've been more but 2nd needed alot to be desired. In saying that though, i'll take those 3pts to keep us in touch with the to 2!!

Im a little concerned with Matty Ryan's attempted save late in the 2nd half. Crossing fingers the MRP dont play judge and jury yet again!!

Way i see it, justice done after the incident with Pasfield and Mcbreen in the 1sh half!!

3 excellent points. We still need variation upfront. Game should have been over in the first half.

That's a game where my points are all going to the backs for me. Fury barely got a sniff all game and Dutchy got the winning header.

3 Dutchy.
2 WIlko - outstanding job out of position.
1 Doig

Agree, not many away wins are being had this year and that was a great second half from a defensive point of view. Fury really came at us and we didn't give them much at all. Cernak's long range shot (great save from Matty) and the penalty claim were their best chances.

IMO Williams could have stayed on his feet. 2 weeks please!<_<

I am going to give a half each to Matty and Doig cause keeps really looked after his area tonight and was really loud which is great to see with two old dogs infront of him. Came out when needed and got the ball. He made the right choice in the penalty claim to come out and then showed what he is made of with the Cernak save moments later. Growing each game.

Was expecting a draw so happy with the three points. Played Fury off the park in the first half (60% possession) but didn't get the little touch of luck needed. Loved the way we tried to play a sharp passing game with a very mobile midfield even when the passes sometimes went astray. Fury allowed back into it because we hadn't killed them off but our defence was very solid, Ryan had one save to make, from Cernak, and yes it was a penalty but otherwise all Fury shots seem to be from outside the box, notably by Williams who never hit the traget despite all the excitement. Loved the depth of this club - Doig was a rock, Lewis getting another thirty minutes and Hutch is our third choice no. 10 (pity he couldn't quite get his head to the ball when he first came on). The best for me were Griffiths for the second week in a row controlling the midfield (if he keeps this up we will finally have replaced Jedi), Simon who seems now to have recovered his ability to take on, and beat, people and the back four. Amini had a handy sixty minutes with a couple of nice touches, Rose and Bozanic, esp first half, impressed. Please Arnie, give McGlinchey some volleying practice! And, do we really want Chris Payne???

Great call on payne. He just seems to give 100% when playing against good opposition or is he just over the fury. I believe it's the latter. He knows and we all know that fury are probably going to fold and he just can't be bothered playing for a sinking ship, I believe he should really be stepping up now so he can increase his stock in the market. I think he has the ability to be a great wide player but I feel he just hasn't had that nuturing by a coach that gives him the incentive to want to work for the gaffer and the team.
If we are unable to secure weemac for a couple seasons payne will be a target. BTW do we want pasfield?

Wow, barely a post on here after a good 1-0 win away from home, this really saddene and I hope it picks up, this is THE most professional and classy supporters website throughout the A-league, I know the Den or the Shed would kill to have such a pleasing interface and means to post about their football team and i sincerely hope that it picks up very soon, this place has been my homepage ever since 2005, i've watched it grow from the website with the pirate coins, to the mariners fish showing bluetongue that reflected the current weather and now this well designed website, BRING THE PEOPLE BACK!

On the game, I really enjoyed the first half, some brilliant one touch triangle football, Fury were clueless when we managed to play wall passes to eachother and they quickly caught on that running at us 100% was not going to work all night, sadly this seemed to end in the second half when Amini came off, I think the most alarming obvious instance of it was when the ball was played from the middle, Patrick -> forward -> Rose -> forward -> Bozanic -> forward HUTCH -> one touch backward -> lonnnnnng ball back to Patrick.....

Was very painful to watch and screamed of the old days!

Anyway, proud of the boys for digging in, the Doig experiment worked and Wilko nailed Right Back so that was great to know, looking forward to having Perez start and Amini on the bench for the final 20.

Bring on Wellington, they are wounded at home and ripe for the taking!

Alrighty then Shipwreck, you've convinced me to come back. I think I forgot my password at one point and couldn't be stuffed to get it back, have been browsing casually this season, will be posting more frequently now.

Great performance again last night, great to see the boys hold on in the second half. I htink its obvious to all of us that had we of been 1 nil up last season and had to absorb that sort of pressure, we wouldn't of won and would probably have conceded 2 or 3 goals.

Really happy to see Simon having a presence and dribbling around midfielders as well, maybe he knows that there is another striker coming this season or next and its he or McBreen who need to make way?

There is a part of me that feels sorry for the Fury, must be really hard to follow them as a fan at the moment. I really hope that the FFA do keep bailing them out. As much as they can't afford to do that, they can't afford to alienate the whole of North Queensland either.

But enough about them, very much enjoying our success at the moment, may it continue!
