ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

after watching newcastle vs brisbane yesterday both micheal bridges and sash petrovski should be suspended for simulation, both went down without being touched, both very obvious...... lets see if the MRP are consistent!!

We wont ever see justice done again, now that this precedent has been set, refs are going to be EXTREMELY apprehensive to give penalties, they would rather not give a penalty and be criticised briefly after the game, then give a penalty, have the MRP review it and suspend the player for 2 matches which looks very bad on them, especially with the knowledge in the back of their minds that something as trivial as Perez' touch in the box is the benchmark....

MRP will only be called upon when it does lead to a penalty, so instances of people diving that go un-rewarded will not be reviewed and therefore, what happened to Perez is basically never going to happen to any other player, FFA aimed to set a stance against simulation, but all they have done is influence fluent refereeing.

Don't suppose there's much point in hitting them - any lesson to be learned will be lost in the fallout from the Jets going down.

I dont think he is on 'our side' at all but rather against the FFA.

Also, Foster is a Director of the Council on Australia Latin America Relations, a division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, so him defending Perez wouldnt come as a suprise

He certianly didn't defend Perez on TWG. He stated that in his opinion it was a certian dive and the correct punishment was handed out. He thought the Baird dive was more in question than Perez's stating that their was definite contact on Baird but not Perez.

I think Perez learnt his lesson and will not go to ground quite so easily anymore. There was contact when he went down in both games, but I think those little bursts of speed he puts on can make it hard to see the touch. And it doesn't help that when he does go dowm, its with a fall worthy of a comedy show.
