ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Free Mariners' membership for CCF registered juniors

In an awesome move it was announced at last night's CCF delegate's meeting that all registered CCF juniors will receive free Mariners' membership.

Kudos to the Mariners for bringing this initiative and the new CCF board for negotiating this.

exactly what is needed to boost crowd numbers imo
very good move, also with club keeping home games away from home to a minimum and it shows the club has listened to our concerns... now we need to show our support in return

Well done CCF, however the fact that this is big news after 5 seasons is rather sad.

Also, the Club clearly listened to it's distant fan base - not.

Why restrict to CCF? What's wrong with Mariners fans that play as juniors outside CCF? Is it too hard to accept kids as members no matter where they play their Junior Football?

The thought of my daughter Celerystick being rejected by the Mariners and having to sign up for the Scum frankly sickens me.

She loves the blue and yellow, plays in blue and yellow, had a blue and yellow Dad as a member. Not enough it seems.

This was something Central Coast Footbal negotiated as part of their strenghtening ties with the Mariners.. Maybe you should approach the Lake Macquarie association and ask them to do the same.

Or maybe approach the club yourself and tell your plight. I am sure they will listen given that you have been a member since day one.

The Mariners are posting membership to every junior player on the Coast. I don't think it would be feasible for them to post memberships to every junior in Australia.

Also restricting it to registered players encourages participation in football and rewards those parents who choose to have their children play the sport and fork out precious dollars for football. One day one of these children could be playing for the Mariners.

The Northern Spirit did this in season one and their crowds took off... we have actually done it each year but not sold it or marked it correctly...

I have always brough a family ticket and the kids are free in effect if you price two aldult tickets...

By marketing it better it should get much better results..

Credit to CCF, but I would have thought as 'new kids on the block' Mariners should have made overtures long ago.

Will contact the CCM Club (again) over this. Of course, I don't expect them to post memberships Oz-wide.

Like the bit about Lake Macquarie though. That should be a fun conversation. I wonder if their allegiances are north, south or both. Should be the latter, as their area straddles two clubs.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

Not because of the dollars it saves me personally, though it does, but because I know most of the kids I coach will now all be going regularly to games that they did not go to last year.

Going to undoubtedly swell numbers, increase over the counter food and merchandise sales, promote brand, build culture and increase atmosphere.

VERY EXCITING!!!

I assume there be something in place that if there is x amount of pre-sales then no passes will be allowed to be used?

Also expect active support bay(16 ;) ) to be overrun with kids..but still a good initiative

Brilliant initiative and another big tick to the new CCF board.

Frankly this should have happened from day 1 and it is a credit to both club and CCf that they have been able to make it happen.

Well done all

I remember that a season ticket and membership used to be different. Not sure what it is now tho. Guess we'll wait and see what the new season brings us.
