ultras are very diferant to hooligans.....
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

rly ?
ahaha
ya. rly.
TBH, there are plenty of other illegal things that go on at games.
Underage drinking, people that steal shit from peoples bags, people smuggling in alcohol from the outside.
And dangerous? Can they be THAT dangerous if they are sold? I spose, the Marinators have an advantage because the bay is so empty, there's plenty of empty spaces to rip it....
Ok, agreed the in-joking can isolate people...but what about the "Level 5" jokes that go on? In-jokes are going to happen everywhere. If we had to make posts that everyone would understand...this place would be incredibly boring.
Again Jerome, not trying to be an asshole, but you keep saying flares are illegal...then in your latest post, you ask: Are flares illegal? Did you suddenly realize you didn't know?
From the WA DPI.Unauthorised use of flares
There are severe penalties for the improper use of flares. Flares have a very serious purpose. Falsely indicating distress rightly carries a severe penalty, but it also wastes a lot of time and resources possibly weakening the ability to respond to a genuine emergency. Do not leave flares in your boat when it is not in use, and keep them away from children.
Boating Industry Australia siteNote: It is an offence to set off flares except in an emergency.
Every source I have found, only refers to being used in open water, where laws are differant. The only other laws/regulations I can find, refer to the disposal of unused flares.
And whilst looking for info...I came across this douchebag's remark:
fromthedugout.tvPeople who are against flares are probably middle class pussys who're against smacking children and shooting burgalars and other stuff like that. Footy needs good atmospheres not rows of people eating prawn sandwhiches. Flares should be allowed.
Smacking children and shooting burgulars?!
But anyway, to answer your question (which I thought you already knew...) I have no f**king idea if they are illegal.
[yeh i think everyone in the stadium enjoys flares well all my friends enjoyed it, what about the victory, they set of the most flares in the league and they have the best crowds aswell, flares are used for a sign of supporting your team!]

For:
- Look pretty
- Gives an aura of 'football kulcha'
- Anti-authority statement
Add any you think of
Against:
- Banned at stadiums, including ours
- Intense heat, leading to fire risk to property and persons
- Smoke, leading to breathing difficulties for asthmatics and others with breathing problems (declare interest here!)
- banned by FFA, leading to serious $ fine on our club
- security concerned, leading to more security and policing
- aura of 'football kulcha' not understood by general public or media, leading to bad publicity
- differently viewed by a range of fans, leading to internal disputes and lack of fans cohesion
