Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Elrich Goone? (Troisi edit), Edgar Davids anyone?

Lawie is a good manager and coach BUT his tactics are questionable to say the least.
Adrian is a player better  in the middle switch hutcho and him around or give some of the youth kids a go.
Adrian has the skills to be another nicky carle he may have played 4 the scum but he was the main player every team hated to play.
But its way to early in the season to start looking for another coach we are coming 4 not to bad.

LOL @ The tard being better in the middle. He's a dribbling winger and nothign more - his efforts in the middle at both his former clubs were LOL worthy

CCM would be best served with the tard on the left, and Porter in the middle with Jedinak.

Spot on Jazza. One of the reasons we got Caceras is because he wanted to play on the wing and that was what we needed.
I am still keeping an open mind on Porter as our attacking mid. He needs to improve his first touch. Mind you Hutchi's 1st touch tends to bring everything to a halt. It could be worth a try he is definitely an attacker.

Serious' skills are so much better than Lawrie's that Lawrie is the Football manager for the Mariners whilst Serious is............. well.............not a manager of any A-League team.

Lawrie is awesome!!!

And therein lies the problem with some people....... is questioning/_constructive_ criticism the right and the duty of a football fan??  To sit there at face value and offer me "zomg, you're shit, Lawrie is awesome" is weak in the extreme and quite frankly, disappointing.  What's the point of having fans who are a pack of sycophantic yes men, just because he coaches your/our club??

regarding Corica. I think he is Sydney's best player. They can reel in as many big names as they want but I think you will find that Corica is the man stepping up and scoring the big goals and winning games.

I too would like to see Lawrie change a few things... substitutions, long balls (our passing game is ridiculously good when we use it). He just seems to do everything the same.

Re: those 2 GF's we've been to - remind me how we did again in those??  How horridly we were out-coached, out-tacticised (is that even a word??), and generally outplayed (first half of the one against Sydney excepted).

Serious, I'm no yes man, I'm just averse to purile tripe when it concerns Lawrie.

FFS, your assertion that we were "horridly" outcoached, out-tactised and generally outplayed in the Jets GF is seriously misguided and totally unfair in my opinion. We were very unlucky not to win the GF so I can't see how we were supposedly outcoached, out-tactised or outplayed. The word "horridly" just doesnt figure in the equation at all and can only be construed as a blatant, biased, unenforcable attack on Lawrie. With your latest post, you're trying to veil your comments under some sort of "voice of reason" cloak, so I do wonder exactly what your agenda is here.

I have no problem with the constructive criticism in this thread, but IMO you most certainly crossed the line. So what if I responded in a similarly hysterical manner. Its hardly the basis for a pyschological analysis of the "pack" of fans on this forum. Very odd in the least ????

Bex, stop cocooning yourself in the whole bad luck thing. We were simply outplayed and out-coached in the GF and it is not wrong to admit it. We got rattled. You can't keep using it as a safety blanket, as the referee never won or lost the game for us. We had plenty of opportunities to score a goal but didn't take the chance. Newcastle had a handful at most and scored. You can't keep getting offended every time a fan isn't happy.

Newcastle scored due to Viddy having a monumental brain fart.
