ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

David Carney & Mile Jedinak

I have two questions.

Has anyone heard anything re the possibility of David Carney being loaned to the Mariners. It's obvious he's completely out of favour with the manager at Sheffield United and needs to move.

Second question, given the Mariners relationship with Sheffield United were they made aware of Mile Jedinak & did they ever show any interest in signing him.

I'm still wondering how this relationship will pan out, to me it would make sense if players like Matt Simon & Danny Vukovic spent some time over there, maybe after the Mariners have finished with their Asian Champions League commitments.

Maybe Mariner Mick or someone else might be able to enlighten me.

I think EPL may be a level too high for Mile at this stage. He grt to that level eventually, but as a centre back.

Mariner Mick,

Re the interview with David Carney what reason did he give for it being unlikely he'd play for the Mariners on loan?

David does not want to go back in level. He has offers on the table from both Italy and Germany and believe me from what he told me they are decent football clubs. He will leave Sheffield Utd in January. As will Paddy Kenny from what i believe.

Sheffield had no interest in Mile from the people at the club i spoke to. They knew who he was but the coaching staff were not very interested in bringing him over to the UK.

Paddy Kenny has been transfer listed by Sheffield Utd and no Danny will not be heading to UK from what i hear. They have a good number 2 in Ian Bennett at the Club.

Wht not mention the Clubs then?

If they are decent cubs he'll be going there to warm the bench or at least play reserves.

Bulldog Mariner,

Did David Carney tell you the names of the clubs interested in him, if so can you tell us?
