ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

2 points to vince lia, wtf?

was hardly in the game and let our midfield run riot

and if our pitch is 7/10 i would like to see what is a 10/10?

I don't publicly comment on my writers reports, and they don't on mine.

10/10 = Tiger Turf
9/10 = Hindmarsh on a very good day

Watching the girls rather than the game (again) <_< .

Ha ha...funny guy!!!
But there wasn`t that many girls around, so I had a chance to have a good look at the game this week.

As I said before I think the world of Dutchy as a player.I`d even go as far as saying he`s the best & most consistant player I`ve seen in a Mariner`s shirt!

In saying that, no matter how good & consistant you are, there is always a best game & a worst game. For mine that lapse in the last 20/25 mins made it the worst game I`ve seen him play.

That`s not to say he wasn`t better than other player`s,but,"by his standard"(which is very high)I would have to stand by what I say.

So my friend, take off your "Rose coloured glasses" & watch the replay.

Close call between weeMac & Dutchie for our best this season with Olly coming in third...

For me weeMac has been to inconistent, Dutchie has been outstanding and shown emense class all the way through but really when you look at his pedigree that should have been expected. Matty Ryan is my player of the season, the kid is a future Australian keeper. To step up and put in the perfromances he has been outstanding and although sometimes as mentioned on this forum he does juggle a few he is a great shot stopper but he is also one of the main reasons we have so many clean sheets as his positioning, his command of box and the options he gives defenders to play back when they are under pressure allows us to keep posession where as in previous years we would have booted it forward, conceeded throw ins or got caught in possession. He is always available for a back pass, can control and pass the ball with either foot (better than a couple of our outfield players).

I agree with you. By his standards, he looked a bit ruffled at times. Having said that, he's definitely our best signing and plays with true professionalism and reliability.

I remember watching Matty Ryan at half time during last season (or maybe the one before). He started off by doing some kicks and my mates and I were stunned by how accurate he was. Then he started 'catching' balls and my optimism of him being better than Danny was somewhat dampened (kicking has never been Danny's strong point).

When he was named for his debut against Sydney, I was really nervous and after that fumble which led to their goal I thought losing JVS was going to be a massive loss for us.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that he would have 10 clean sheets by the start of Jan, seeing him confidently jump and take some of the crosses on Sunday cemented in my brain the opinion that he is real class. Hands can still be a lot safer, but to both John Crawley and Matty Ryan, I salute you.

Dutchy still my player of the year to date.

i cant see jvs having more clean sheets, the only time ryan lost a clean sheet when it was avoidable was against sydney, and theres been a number of times hes done really well to keep the clean sheet. also he would have even more had he played from the start of the season.

Good, Ryan is brilliant but at some point we need to remember our priority is winning football gaames with the best squad we have, not looking blindly pass mistakes of our youth and shrugging them off with "he is only 18"
