Nick Theodorakopoulos.............this bloke was useless for Scum.  I don't think they won a game under him.

The thing I dont get is if they are thinking of moving Lawrie upstairs, then why do they need to pay out his contract? Surely they could just say 'ok Lawrie, we have a new coach, your new position is ....'.

Either Lawrie's article today disproves the previous one stating he was being pushed, there are rules stopping that from happening or Lawrie was telling porkies (which i doubt)

If they are looking at an "up and commer", how do you reckon Alex Tobin feels?

Who cares how he feels, he has his chance to show what he is capable of with the youth. Lot of good that has done him so far.

Didn't I hear something about a young Iraqi player ripping up the NSWPL. I saw a feature on the world game about him as well. Is there any news of him trialling with any A league teams?

Also what is happening with the other trialist that we had recently? I was hoping that the Serbs were going quite well. Am I right that we have only signed  Travis and Doig?

Re: Ex Iraqi player.
Jaza gave us an insight into that player. Lots of hype, but the guy doesn't/won't trial, and is prone to getting pushed off the ball - he is a small guy. Left footer only.

Check out "Farewell Rizzo...." Thread for Jaza_SFC's comments.

Re: Triallists.
They have had a few games to impress and possibly a couple more.

The Serbian trialists are playing for Bonnyrigg on a 6 week guest stint, which started about 2 weeks ago. Apparently Lawrie wanted to see them more in game situations.

I hope this is not going to be another Charlie Miller scenario
Are we the only club that are not close to finalising our squad for next season.

Also is ljubo signed up of the jets for the upcoming season or was it just acl. if not we sould be moving on him post haste

-1 for ljubo

he has only played a quarter of games for the jets because of injury or suspension, would want big dollars, and be such a complete dickhead that he would completely ruin the club

he has been utterly and totally unprofessional in his constant quotations in the newcastle herald and posts inappropriate material on the forums he inhabits

this disregard for the club he plays for and lack of respect for his coaches and administration would easily rub off onto team mates

there is a huge difference between a professional dickhead who galvanises team spirit and harmony(ljubo) and an unprofessional dickhead who disrupts team dynamics and harmony(muscat/moore)

doig will be that professional dickhead at the back for us

ljubo is mentally unstable and should be no where the mariners

we need to recruit some creativity and mobility, not another ageing injury prone centreback

According to him + the Jets forum, he is signed for next season.
However they are theories Con would jump at selling him to an overseas club, to get rid of him (ie. make money off him)...

Where did I say "Zomg, they are the bestest players I have ever seen"????
All I said was, "I hope we sign them".. because, y'know, we are kinda in need of players. (and by all accounts they are quite handy on the field)

I love him!

Don't know how unprofessional he is. All he does is whinge about how unprofessional the newcastle organisation is. Nothing wrong with that. I appreciate an athlete that doesn't mince his words! I think he'd be great for the club.

but anyway if he's signed up it doesn't really matter

Why does everyone think Doig is such a hard bastard? Because there's a picture of him with blood on his face... Jeeeesuus! I've seen a picture of Gary Linaker with blood on his face...hardly a hard man

Reports from England say that he's a no nonsense defender. He's also Scottish and played League 1 football which is no friendly league. There is plenty of hope there, but we wont totally know until he is here.

league 1 centre halfs and captains arent exactly known for being kind to strikers, especially if they beat them a few times, old saying can't run without legs comes quickly into their minds

no, the way you are speaking it seemed like you watched them play

so therefore you hope we sign two players you have never seen and know nothing about?
