Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Is he better than what we have? He has not exactly set the league on fire

The way or forwards finished the season the answer may be yes...... - I wouldn't buy him though - look what 4 strikers got us this year....

True, but strikers need good service from midfield?

The way Lawrie has been spending i wouldn't hold your breath but i would love to see him trial.

more like - "the way in which lawrie is allowed to spend by his board"

+1 some people just dont understand football. Its a shame they run our club
True i was hopin Mcbabe could have knocked the nonsense out of the stupid heads.

Obviously you don't follow the goings on a Sheffield United, maybe it is that influence that has us in the current situation!!!

We sold James Beattie - the leading goal scorer to a premier league team  for far less than we bought him for when he was washed up whilst trying to challenge for promotion, go figure?  And that is just the latest in a long, long line of similar occurances so I am not sure Mcabe is the one to be looking to for sanitiy.

Has anyone entertainined the idea of getting Salley as a replacement for Jedi? He was way out of favour at Adelaide for a long time and i never recall him having an un-influential role, was always big, strong and commanding...

I would not pay money to watch as team with Salley in it he adds absolutley nothing apart from the ability to run around a lot, little skill, no vision all he seems to do if he does win the ball is pass back to the keeper.

I no he has played for the 2 most hate tams but i would take Stuey Mus insted of salley

'no' does not equal 'know'; you're after the words 'hated', 'teams' and 'instead'.  ;)

but i agree musialik would be a much better pick than salley. he can pass the football for a start.

I know, we still have a couple which is why I worry about bringing in another.  I can just imagine it now O'Grady playing out from the back, loverly ball to Salley who beats a couple in midfield before threading it through the eye of a needle into the path of a fantastically timed run from Kwassie which he takes in his stride before lobbing the advancing keeper with the deftest of touches :)

bladesmen are u for sheffield or the coast.

Both, grew up in Sheffield watching the blades for 20 odd years before heading out here only to have my past catch up with me (could have been worse least it was only the football team).

you see kwas is 100% capable of that (even if only 25% of the time :p), while salley i suspect is not.

Bet you were happy when we became apart of the sheffield group.

I did wonder if I could possibly have owned part of the mariners given my shares in Sheff U but it turns out the they have now been compulsorily aquired by McCabe to take them private again so now all I have is a little piece of paper to say I was once a Shareholder and a lot less cash than before a bought them.

I suspect the move would have broken down long before either Salley of Kwassie got involved, although it could depend on what is classed as a pass.

O'Grady hoofs the ball down field

Kwas attempts a mazy dribble but trips himself up and the ball bobbles to Salley.

Salley hoofs the ball down field where Kwassie attempts a cross but the ball skews off the outside of his foot and goes in (or row z).

Reckon Salley would fit in great
