Leijer wont be coming out. The club were pissed arnold didnt get him in shape during olympics and was short a pre-season. Hence i doubt he will be loaned out to australia even if he is only playing reserves.

Didnt kwas only have a gentlemens agreement from the club, then the club signed 2 wide players without talking to kwas, hence he thought, f**k, i may not have a contract afterall, i better take what i can get?

As for kwas not having the best of seasons, he did not play often. But he is a player who would not be worried about playing state league to get his match practice and fitness up for the a-league season.

id love to see a player like adrian Leijer come back for the ACL

What the thug from Dubbo? Why would we want him?

To provide a bit of mongrel in our back line?

He only missed a handful of matchs through suspension when he played for melbourne I think. Hard to tell cause I can't find official stats on the melbourne page.

Just as an aside I wonder if a phone call to Richard Garcia could prove fruitfull
see... http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/socceroos/garcias-concerns-mount-167309/ more hope than anything but what a loan deal he would make.

Leijer can start off by saying sorry for doing Gumps knee and only getting a yellow not the 3 or 4 games it deserved.

Would be an awesome loan deal.......but, the guy has made 7 starts for Hull and has scored PL goals, not really in the D.Carney class yet.

I know its been mentioned before but should we chase Oliver Bozanic?
He's a coastie, he's played for us before and he cant play reserve football forever.
I think he would be a very handy pickup, even if he isnt as much as an enforcer than Jedi was, he could fill the CM/DCM postion.

I know he is not the Mile replacement that everyone wants but I remember seeing him at Christie Park with a couple of triallists and Smitta. Looked a class above. If Smitta can make a decent go of the HAL I'm sure Ollie would. Have to be better than Reading reserves!!!

I highly doubt that. Won the competition his first season there. Will probably be signing a new contract soon, with negotiating power as other clubs will know about him, and the probability of playing in the 1st team. He is probably on about 100-150k now.. compared to the 40k Mariners originally offered him.

And he isn't in reserves because he isn't good enough - he had to get aclimatised, catch up to the pace and settle in with the club - as far as I know, he is on a development plan. It isn't as easy as unpacking your bags and letting the money and good fortune roll in... probably why so many players rush over there and die off or return.

This is Kwassie's reply when asked about it on facebook...

hey judy, rumours fly around the coast very quickly dont they. all i will and all i can say is "maybe". hope your well, takecare.
if he reads this thread like i think he does...maybe in the future he wont be so quick to answer your questions if you are going to put it his answers up on public domain

maybe the reason why he never really told her anything in the first place.
