Caceres to Welly.

Just a hunch  ;)
Good hunch that Arab, don't need him anyway, too much flair and skill for us work-man-like MARINERS !  No wonder our membership is down from 3k to 2k with the squad which we have, people aren't stupid.  Tough times !

caceres won't be missed. he'll be on the bench (at best) at welly too. nobody wants a player who is interested for 15 minutes tops and spends most of that handing the ball over and putting his own defence under pressure.

creative player my arse.

Travis will get his chance, he did well today, provided a spark and got stuck in. 4-3-3 just doesn't work with us with the squad we have, get back to 4-4-2

Why not change/ slightly modify the formation to suit Weemac and Travis?

(barring any injuries)

                  Danny
Boogs    Wilko    Doig    Heff
        Pedj    Huke    Hutch
      Travis            Weemac
                  Matty

But for now.....

                  Danny
Porter    Boogs    Wilko    Heff
        ????    Pedj    Hutch
      Travis            Weemac
                  Matty

The difference being the two behind Matty are quite central, not out wide. There won't be a whole lot of width but very creative and should make lots of chances.

As long as Mrdja and Elrich don't start we're a chance.......
Elrich looks gone to me.Even at this level he looks slow.

Has anyone seen him hit a cross past the first defender yet ?

And Mrdja.........just f**k off please !

With shape issues completely agree, if your formation is relying on you switching your striker into wide mids because your out and out winger is just not good enough to start, then might be time to change shape to suit the players you have.

Several of us advocated Matty wide right, myself included, did not work at all. Matty needs another strike partner with excellent pace and fast feet in the henrique/Minnicon style imo with Travis and Weemac in behind and our defense finally sorted, we could then perform at the level we will need to, to be a real chance this year.

Please lets sign a marquee striker.

Oh and the jamaican wide player!

Both your formations are too small for Lawrie. You need to be 6"+, 100kgs and a touch like an elephant to make the lineup at the moment. How he let Mrdja play enough games last season to earn an extensions is f**king diabolical especially when he was ruthless enough to cull Gumps under the same circumstances.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like this:

            Danny
    Boogs-Wilko-Heff
      Hutch-----Pedj
Porter--Weemac--Travis/Kwas
      Dmac------Matty

Good formation up against a 4-4-2

Racking my brains trying to work out how Travis and Wee Mac can play in the same side and kept coming back to 352

Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko (as a central back 3)
Porter (or Pedj) Hutch (as wing backs)
Travis Hutch (As DM) Wee Mac (in a 3man MF)
Matty Dylan

We have 2 hutch's now? Replace first hutch with Heff, and i think the squad looks good.

No chance in that, chance we'll expand the squad thou with someone else

We need a striker. Mrjda is killing this club. It would seriously be in our best interests if he was long term injured again for this season. He was good but its gone now and the longer he stays the more it hurts us. To look at how the other rosters have progressed in this position is really embaressing for our club.
