We seem to have got very negative quickly here! No need to hit the panic button yet.
Yes, Saturdays performance was woeful, but it's the first loss of the season and a win next week will have everyone feeling good again.
Travis must start, and i think he will. It'll take time though to get match fit so we will need to give him a few games to get there.
We need to find our best 11 and stick with it for a while, injuries permitting. Players can't play themselves into form if not.
We need some pace up front, at least to have more options.Hopefully that's coming.
I've said it before, Matty is doing too much work and he will run out of gas when he most needs it.His job is to score goals not defend.
If there is stuff going on behind the scenes it needs to be sorted sooner rather than later. What's going on with Caceres/D-Mac?
Defensively we are much better but i think we have over compensated and we need more going forward. Think that having Hutch and Pedj in the same mid won't give us that creativity we need.
Keep smiling!
I think it's fair for us to howl the house down at Saturday's performance.
IF the players sneak a look on here they will realise, very bloody quickly, that we fans are not happy or content with that performance. Will make them wary, will make them angry at us too. But above all else, it WILL tell the club that we are not prepared to accept drivel like what was served up on Saturday.
I sure those of us who work for 'the man' will know if we put in bad performances at work we'll end up being spoken to. It's the same thing with the club.
If we sit back and accept mediocrity as the norm, the club will probably think it's all good to field a team that does the odd good thing and maybe gets close to winning some matches. To hell with that sort of cop out, I want the bloody team winning.
Re: Caceres & D-Mac. No answer yet about D-Mac, it could ahve been something unavoidable, or an illness or whatever. Until the club talks about ti we can only speculate. Hope it wasn't a dummy spit by him, he seems a more stable sort of guy than that. Caceres seems a lost cause so 'bye bye' Adrian. No further comment needed.
Yes, defensively we are much better than say the ACL. But the goal Brisbane scored was again off a set piece, a corner no less, and the ball came off the second line of attack without the player marked, from what I can remember about Moore's header. WHO was supposed to mark the 'ranga? It all smacks of last season and the ACL revisited, and I don't dismiss anyone getting bloody anxious about all that happening again!
