I though I saw someone that looked like Henrique at training last week, and thought maybe it was the jamaican (was very dissapointed by his lack of dreadys) and then thought I must be wrong as Mick had posted that he hadn't arrived yet...
But if there's three... BTW, Travis takes a great dead ball from what I've seen.

Can someone explain to me why Dmac is preferred on the right as opposed to Matty?

MS has more pace and seems at his most dangerous attacking the goal from an angle (he often does better when receiving the ball to feet on the edges of the box)

He is not a back to goal type striker in the Viduka (shudders) or Owusu role (we are crying for a player like that IMHO).

Either play 2 up front so he can feed off someone or put him on the flank

IMHO Dmac is better at the Viduka (shudders) role than Matty

Funny, just read the recent MCKinna article last night where he is touting that Matty could do the Viduka *shudders for you* role for the national team at the WC...
So I think he does see him as the hold up guy... I think he does this quite well, but I do prefer him as you said running at the goals...

Yes I was at training on Friday and noticed him looks like a really skinny Archie Thompson???

The 'defensive' bit did its job quite nicely I'm sure you'd agree, and if D-Mac could find any bit of the face of goal that wasn't the place where Faulty Bolty's feet happened to be, he'd have probably had two.

Had he not murdered the chances I doubt there would have been the same complaints about him being 'misused'.

I agree that the better use is probably dmac in the middle with simon running off him. Than the other way around.

Though dmac does not seem to struggle too much coming forward with the ball from deeper

His corners at the melbourne game were awesome  !!

so do i except for the fact that by the time dmac came on- Simon was exhausted. I dont think SImon would have energy to play out on the wing!

He was an young aboriginal fella from Rockhampton training with the squad. Looked quite good and apparently played with the Mariners when they went north pre-season.

I will pop in to training tomorrow and check out what is going on.
