Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I have a bold prediction to make (just my thoughts)

Trotty/Redmayne injury is declared quite long term and John Filan signed as cover.

That allows Danny to cop whatever suspension he gets but means we dont have to have 4 keepers in the squad.

I wonder??

Where does Jess Vanstrattan fit in your predictions?

That's a laugh!

Couldn't bring myself to laugh at that one - even though it's so unlikely, it still scared the crappers out of me. Frankly, I'd rather have Lawrie himself up front!

:vomit:

or a bumper that reflects the ball at goal when it has been powerfully crossed at it

you mean strikers aren't meant to head the ball in one of only two directions (i.e. straight up or straight down)?

Covers are banned, all injury covers have to come from youth team I believe
That is not accurate. The press releases only said that there were few exceptions to that rule. It did not elaborate on those exceptions. It could be possible, I would assume not, but have not seen evidence to move it from the improbably category, over to the impossible.

From the Age

The Central Coast Mariners have quashed reports Dwight Yorke is due for talks with the A-League club.

The former Manchester United and Sydney FC playmaker told Network Seven he was hoping to discuss his future with the Mariners over the next few days but Mariners executive chairman Lyall Gorman insisted "it's not going to happen".

Yorke, 36, said he felt he still had the game and fitness to compete in the A-League despite his age and was looking forward to returning to Australia after two years in the English Premier League with Sunderland.

"No disrespect to the Australian league (but) it's not quite like the Premiership so I feel I can do a great job there again like I did the first year that I went there two years ago," said Yorke, who guided Sydney to the inaugural A-League title in 2005/06.

"It will be a great challenge if the opportunity comes to represent the Mariners next year.

"I just hope that opportunity is given to me to return to Australia."

Gorman held talks with Yorke's management last December and said nothing came of it.

"We spoke to his management way, way, way back. It's not going to happen," he said.
