I own up...(I often stretch the truth a lot)....it was me who put it up.......it's laughable how rumors develop a life of their own  :p , especially on 4-4-2

wasnt it a joke rumor that you put up and they took the bait lol. i guess we can now try something a bit more unbelievable now.
yep...correct...I even used Kareem's words for the 4-4-2 rumor and they rated it as 7/10 believability.... ::)

I hear C. Ronaldo quite likes the beaches on the Central Coast........ let's see the Telegraph run with that to a front page headline.  ;)

Lionel Messi was spotted having coffee with Lyall Gorman and Lawrie McKinna in terrigal this week ;)

Kewell is a chance. Few clubs would be willing to pay him much considering he has hardly played in 3? or 4? years. He wont be going to a starting spot.

He has a tonne of money. It would not surprise me if he took a pay cut for the first team action, as a chance to once again increase his value enough for a first team, big team move. As well as keeping in the roos frame which always helps your value.

Aleague is as good as any

well i dont have anything to prove to you...

and To Dibo!!!
Why on earth would you close the thread?
that seems pretty stupid to me!
You didnt even warn us...I mean I reckon it would be fair to have said "get back on topic' + wat you said
"canning this thread now. it's so far off topic it's not funny, take shots at each other elsewhere. "

I mean Sym has the topic for a reason...and if you asked me I would have gladly have continued it lsewhere (they can email me anytime with their petty shots!!!).
Then if we kept talkin...fine
???

Lol new topic opened
:headbutt:
bangin your head against the wall...waste of time really!

Talk of H coming back to the HAL is just stupid.

No it's not......... he'll sign for us soon, just you wait and see.

It's aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall falling into place.  :p

My friend works for Home & Away sometimes... as an extra. While on set, he over-heard some high-up people mention the name 'Kewell' and the word 'accomodation'. Maybe it is happening? Where else would Harry play if his wife was possibly getting a gig with Home & Away?

Mariners have kept it well and truly quiet.

I doubt Green Peace would allow him near our beaches. Have you seen how much hair gel that guy uses?

It is true that he said it. He may have been making it up... but it fits, don't you think?

Harry with out a club/in need of a first team starting spot/re-ignite his  career, Mariners without a marquee, Sally leaving H&A and Kewells wife a soap star.

I will tell him to try and suss out some more info, perhaps some of the other crew would be more in the know and might tell him. I wouldn't be surprised if we sign Harry in the weeks leading up to pre-season or the A-league competition to be honest.

Those are some pretty damn funny posts Tyson... :piralaugh: :piralaugh: :piralaugh:

Maybe they were saying - "yeah, we're going to need some Cewllll accomodation" as in "cool"
Or hell, it might just have been, did you know that tools on probation?

Harry a Mariner possibility, I would be nothing less than absolutely staggered... but oh what a happy staggering it would be!

442 News:

EXCLUSIVE: Lawrie McKinna is preparing to bolster his squad from the ranks of English Championship side Sheffield United but somehow doubts David Carney or James Beattie will be joining him on the return flight to Australia.
The Central Coast Mariners boss will head for England in the coming days to meet his United counterpart Kevin Blackwell and hopefully tee up a deal or two for the coming season.

The Gosford outfit recently agreed a football development agreement with the Blades and part of that deal allows for the respective clubs to benefit from each others playing staff.

McKinna has already added Adrian Caceres and Ahmad Elrich to the Mariners ranks and while he insists there is no panic to nail down further additions, there are still gaps in the squad to be filled.

Dwight Yorke has been ruled out as a potential target but McKinna is quite literally prepared to go the distance in trying to find quality signings.

He told au.fourfourtwo.com: I think were looking at another two or three players. I will be going over to Sheffield United to have a look.

A striker is thought to be a top priority but McKinna somehow doubts that United will be open to loaning out the likes of former Everton forward James Beattie or Socceroo David Carney.

He joked: That would be great wouldnt it? Not sure thats going to happen though. No, well just have a look at the situation and hope there might be someone in their squad that could benefit us.

Sheffield United also have an agreement with Chinese outfit Chengdu so that could be another recruitment avenue for McKinna. The Mariners are still hopeful of arranging a pre-season trip to China and that too could open doors for the Bluetongue boys.

However, one player linked with the club recently looks unlikely to be heading for the Central Coast.

Adelaide United midfielder Kristian Sarkies has been mentioned with regard to a possible switch but au.fourfourtwo.com understands that the Olyroo man is not on McKinnas transfer radar.

lol at kristian sarkies. he probably got excited when he heard the rumour, but little did he know it was just us playing tricks on him.

I wonder if Lawrie is looking at a potential keeper over in Sheffield to cover Danny?

A pacey CB would be quite nice too? Only Boogs, Wilko and Stringers leaves us a bit thin in the event of injuries or suspensions.

im not too worried who we pick up. i mean... if mrdja comes fit (no jokes please), our team will be pretty darn strong. i think any new signings would just be a bonus, no matter what the position.
