I'm not so sure that Kewell is "injury prone" per say.
I mean, he really only has been struggling with one or two major injuries his whole career, which therefore doesnt mean he picks up a new injury every week.

And again, with good medical and s&m coaching he could get fit, especially in the a-league, I think the slower tempo and different style would do him well in building up - as long as some Adam Griffiths or Musc**t thug didn't take him out.

I think, sure, it's a lot of money what someone like him would ask, but when he's fit, he's FIT and would run circles around this league.

If it were ever opportune and realistic, I'd take him.

Not if he wanted to prove himself..
I mean, realistically, does the guy NEED any more money?

Think about it that way.
He wants to get fit, he wants to get noticed.

But yeah, I'm in no way speculating that we could afford him or that it's even possible.

I have a feeling we were in the running for Harry Kewell but now he has injured his groin, i dont know if there would be any point to such a great signing.
lol. and we want someone who tries to save his liverpool career by only playing one half of international? personally i think we'd have to pay a shitload for someone who is too injury prone.

Before you knock what I say, pay better attention to the media around you. there were articles stating Kewell wanted a stint in Australia (similar to J Aloi$i) to relaunch his career, whether its to improve chances of going onto a bigger club or reaching full fitness and cementing his spot in the Socceroos lineup.
What better club than ours?!
There have been a few Socceroos, and one of those is Harry Kewell, stating that they would like to contribute to an A-League club.
Its all pretty viable until now with this new injury cloud over his head.
If he goes into surgery, then its not a good purchase, but if its something that needs working on and could get fit before HAL V4 "The Revenge of The Mariners", then heck i would sure love him here for how ever long he wants to stay.
I think its not laughable and highly possible for HK to be our marquee (if fit), as his worth in football will be re-evaluated and with the lack of games and injuries he has had over the last few years, he wont be as expensive as you think.

Yeh I know about that injury, but the fact that it is a GREAT comeback from injury - there was no GREAT comeback for Kwasnik, really. Makes it sound like its Nik Mrdja or Matt Osman...
Or perhaps Heff?

true that. but noooooooo... apparently it is kwasnik. but i wouldnt believe it anyway... the poster still hasnt given a source.

something for you all to ponder. a certain player will be coming on loan from a club we have a new link to.

LOL Tyson you're a muppet.......u say that the Kwas rumour may not be true as there's no source yet you make a statement with no source yourself LOL!

Whether there is any truth in the Kwas rumour is the clubs business and Kwasnik's business, nobody elses.

i was taking the piss. lol.

but im happy to be called a muppet. better than what some people involved with the a-league get called.

we're on an internet forum! :piralaugh:

you have the right to either:

a) remain silent until the club parades people with their names on the back of the shirt, or;
b) talk endless shit with fellow travellers at risk of looking like a complete twat.

lock in 'B' eddie!

i think the likelihood of the albino coming here is low - he's not bad at utd, while over here i think he'd be playing either heff's or caceres's spot.

regarding B. people actually thought it would b possible to fit Juninho and Yorke under the cap and then sign a big name marquee. Other than making those two players under the cap, how much bigger a name can you get than Juninho and Yorke?

speaking of harry... if he were fit and not injured, i think he could sell out bluetongue nearly every match he played.

Talk of H coming back to the HAL is just stupid.

It'll be at least five years if ever we see him playing here. He is far from finished as a player and will easily have plenty of clubs lining up for him.

Reality check please.

Who was it that started the rumour of Sarkies at Mariners?
Now there's even a report on 442 about McKinna scouting Blades and Sarkies is mentioned in there haha.

the 4-4-2 story says "Adelaide United midfielder Kristian Sarkies has been mentioned with regard to a possible switch but au.fourfourtwo.com understands that the Olyroo man is not on McKinnas transfer radar."....so I guess that means Sarkies will definitely sign for us next week.

Wait and see what happens in the off season bear. He'll get picked up by a top flight club in Europe somewhere. He'll come good from his injury woes of the last few years.

He may never reach his peak again like when he was at Leeds, but he is still our best player and has a lot more to offer. It's far too early for him to come home.

I hear C. Ronaldo quite likes the beaches on the Central Coast........ let's see the Telegraph run with that to a front page headline.  ;)
