ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I would have him back in a heartbeat. The bloke bled yellow and navy when others didn’t give a shit.

I remember talking to him on the sideline after a Victory game in Melbourne where we were embarrassed and he run himself into the ground trying to make things happen. He said “Mick, I just can’t do this anymore”. The pain (no pun) on his face was obvious. I agreed and said that he needed to go to another club where his efforts would be appreciated.

Concur with what you all have said about Pain. Those sides he was in, he was by far and away the one who cared the most, gave the most and was always visibly upset when we'd get pumped which unfortunately was a lot. He on more than one occasion, would say "I'm sorry lads, not good enough but we're trying"

Nah, he was one of the very few who didn't need to apologise for his performances in those years.

I’m the opposite, I can’t believe anyone misses Pain.

Sure he cared and I liked that but his results were poor. He is good for max 4 goals and 2 assists a year. He’s been bang average since he left as well. He plays a position where heart is not enough. Nothing against him and when we were desperate for someone to actually care about playing for us he did but he has never lit anything up. We were shit over the years for plenty of reasons but average players was up there.
