Just saw news Thomas Aquilina about to be signed for 2yrs to replace Miller when he leaves. Should be interesting if that happens
I think that would be a very good move. Obviously happier to keep Miller if possible but Aquilina looks very promising and is wasted as depth at WSW. Interestingly Rudan has been trying to play him a bit more lately and I suspect that’s why.

Our form with young players isn’t matched by any other team. If I was a young player why wouldn’t you consider a move to CCM. It could fast track your career. We are in a great space. Tilio would be a target if I was Manager, he still plays seconds at City. Should be starting every game.

Attackers are a different prospect and easier to give minutes to. And the big difference is City have the pockets to pay him well knowing they’ll turn a profit anyway when they sell him. Maybe over the off season.

Yeah I know but he really should be playing more regularly in my opinion for the National teams benefit. Just shows clubs like CFG are not helping the Socceroos.

I get it but there’s multiple paths and I think City’s strength there is 1 - being among a really quality team to learn 2 - their network and pathways are hands down better than any other club in the league. There will be plenty of City products in the national team in years to come

nothing at all against Aquilina, but i hope this is a minimum wage deal. Miller wouldnt have been on big money and we could have replaced him with an academy product for less than what we pay Aquilina. Bayliss has already come in there and looked decent

We need starting 11 players. Roux is OK as cover but we need top level cover for Miller and Bayliss is not that man yet. Aquilina is good enough to step right in. I'd rather keep Miller but if he's gone to Meth then Aquilina is good business.

We don't have an academy product that's ready to go into the starting line up from what we've seen so far. If you believe Bayliss is ready to step up then it should be in Storm's spot. And I very much doubt this will be a minimum wage deal nor should it be.

The more interesting info in that article is Talay to the Bulls, I rate Talay and with the seemingly endless cash at Meth he could do very well. Miller may have made a good move. I hate the fact that the Bulls may finally get a good Manager.

Going back to The Ollie situation. I don't know any ins or outs. What I do know that if Ollie leaves and Muller (who has not impressed) is not resigned then our midfield leader becomes Nizz with a bunch of kids. I love Nizz - but he will need help.
Taking a stab in the dark here but that'd have to be at least 4-500k of budget plus a visa spot freed up wouldn't it? Maybe more? Add Simon onto that maybe another 100k give or take but perhaps that's already out of the equation with insurance? Should be able to give some upgrades and still secure some decent talent.
