ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

what the a 10 year old boy is cool with it ! all you have to say is poop and a lad will laugh for 10 minutes .
i think you need to run that over a wider demographic

And you are making wild assumptions about what motivates family behaviour (including assuming that I have a ten year old). Seems flawed all round.

When i was 10 I called my Dad a bitch having no clue what it meant. Somethings we shouldn’t know so young but also we need to Learn/be taught what they are.

He told me the meaning and I understood i used it incorrectly but was now equipped to use it the right way or know not to use it.

Kids learn stuff so young and the Internet will tell them anything so you can’t protect them as easily as in the past.

Heaps of kids know more than you think and also know they stay in the playground or at the football and not at the dinner table or around mum. Every kid learns that

That said Cumdog for some 10 year olds might be to early for some kids or their parents and thats ok but it’s also ok for those that aren’t worried.

Lets face it at 13 they’ll all know

It should be a very simple conversation with family and young ones - "It's his last name, Cummings, just shortened, we do that in Australia, it's called his nickname."

No idea where Dog comes from, maybe someone can ask him but I have no problem with Cumdog, it's literally his last name and he's proud of it and wears it with pride, if the PC crowd can't handle it then it's a sad world we live in.

At the end of the day it is a wild assumption that families aren’t coming to the game because of his name.

I have a family. It hasn’t stopped us. I interact with many families who go to games and many who don’t anymore. I have heard plenty of reasons for not going and a guy’s nickname is not one of them.

The Cum Dog (own it) is the most exciting personality to hit the A-League in years. He will put bums on seats not take them away.

I'm confused.. why are we trialling a CB? Don't we have an amazing experienced player, a club legend, who can play almost any position? Who could certainly easily cover a CB role? If Monty doesn't play Boz soon or make a real comment on it then it's all going to point to Fkin Charlesworth again.

Moving on from Oli, does anyone know what the latest is with the GOAT? I thought he was back in training quite some time ago?
Hopefully his continued absence is just because he is not yet at full fitness and not that he is another one that is fully fit but not being picked for other reasons.

Well we will probably lose one of Rowles, Hall or RT I'd guess.
Maybe 2?

That would be my suspicion. Either RT not considered good value for us anymore or Rowles to OS. Hall being the least established I feel like we're best placed to keep as long as we are paying him ok (i know big if). He needs to be careful not to get stuck on the bench if moving elsewhere. Aspro and Ziggy come to mind as recent examples.

I liked this comment not because I like this idea but because I'm confident you're right.

With the impressive performance of all 3 of our CBs we're stupid if we're not succession planning.
Rowles is without a doubt off overseas and deservedly (assumption, not knowledge). Hall is also a real shot. I reckon we'll hold Ruon longer due to his disrupted season.
