ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So if he's double vax then 6 days in quarantine until the rules change on 1 Nov?

Or would he maybe have got an exemption?

Even if he had to do the full 14 days we'd still have him for the cup game in theory.

Nathan Konstandopoulos has been released from Adelaide after a second ACL (opposite leg). He always looked a good prospect and with Isiais, Mauk, Calcetti, Juande, Joe Calcetti and D’Arrigo has probably been eased out as the rest are fully fit.

He is still only 25 and has dual citizenship (so easier to sell to Europe). If he can trial in the coming weeks and months and prove he is recovered may be worth a look at on a pay for play basis with an option to extend if he proves himself. Would be relatively cheap but is/was a decent player even after his first ACL.

Thoughts?

It could be a strategic signing, if we have full confidence in our medical staff to assess him. We're certainly not as desperate as a few seasons ago, but I still can't believe we signed Gamero.

I think we will come to realise how important Stens became for us, he was a beast last season, aside from breaking up attacks he stirred up so many opposition players, sat many on their arses with well timed challenges and I only remember one time losing his cool despite the likes of the snake stiff arming him in the back of the head. I'd love another mid with that kind of presence.

Who's "Steele", listed in the team for the friendly. I haven't heard that name before?

Edit: Harrison (Harry) Steele

Youth player. Anyone familiar with him?

Academy lad. A handy player and good prospect. Plays in midfield.

Very fortunate to be signed in the Academy again. Reasonable player but massive off field issues which caused to him being "unavailable" for a while. Hope he can turn things around.

Interesting, good to see him being given a second chance then, in his interview Monty seemed to think they'd both earned their opportunity. No idea what the issues were but every kid has a hard time at some point or another, fingers crossed he's through the worst of it now. Would be interesting to see an academy game, we seem to have quite a few prospects coming through.

Is anyone else concerned about how much of an impact losing stensness will have on our squad, without adequately replacing him, yes I know nizzy and a few other young guys can fill the role, but I think stensness’ physically and ball control is what we will miss most, which nizzy doesn’t have as much, hopefully I’m wrong but I feel like we will miss having a physically strong presence in midfield like we had last year,
