I'll just leave this here...Simon is the guy you bring on at 80 minutes when you are 1-0 up away to the scum. The bloke to get a yellow, run it into the corner and just be an absolute shit
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Would like to see a specialist #6 to replace Gianni but doubt that's where the money is - saw someone mentioned it will be an attacker, which we probably need as well. Will be interesting to see how Monty's tactics shape up without a specialist ball winning midfielder like we had last season.
We’ll have to avoid Bozanic copping his own yellows plus a bunch that Stensness used to pick up. If he takes on too much of that physical or disruptive burden he’ll miss a few games through suspension. They can also harass players in defence. While they won’t have the physical presence of Gianni they will be buzzing players like flies.
He's no spring chicken either, need to try to keep him injury free. We’ll have to avoid Bozanic copping his own yellows plus a bunch that Stensness used to pick up. If he takes on too much of that physical or disruptive burden he’ll miss a few games through suspension.
With Hall, Tongyik and Bozanic we have guy's who will explore with their passing so I'm 100% sold on going forward quick. Plus the speed we've added to the squad indicates this also. It's a great tactical change to make with a fairly unchanged defensive line.If Nizzy and Ollie are #8 and #6 we will have our two most technically adept players in this position. Players who can hold the ball, create space and especially in Ollie someone who can hit a forty yard pass with ease.

Injury free we still have a defensive spine of Birraz, Rowles, Tongyik, Ollie and Nizzy.
I suspect the tactic this season will be to get the ball to the front third as quick as possible and play football where we have stacked the talent. I doubt there will be much Okon style passing through the back.
I think in Nizzy you've got the perfect foil for this situation. He is always in there harassing and winning contests with his technical skill taking over where Stens physical skill would be. With more game time in that position I think we'll find Nizzy to be a real pain in the arse for other teams middle third. We’ll have to avoid Bozanic copping his own yellows plus a bunch that Stensness used to pick up. I think so too, but it remains to be seen if he’ll take the odd yellow to break up play when needed. Obviously it’s not how one would prefer to play but most good DMs aren’t afraid to cop one in the right circumstances.I think in Nizzy you've got the perfect foil for this situation. You'd have to think he wouldn't get that many even if they are deserved. He's not the guy that leaves his feet often and if he over powered someone illegally on his feet, as an official I'd be more in awe of the feat than wanting to book him. Good luck to him then. I hope he does well with both (just not against us).I understand he landed a good job in the city. I suspect he will do far better and earn more from a full time job and part time NPL gig than a scholarship with the the Mariners.
Very clever lad by all accountsGood luck to him then. I hope he does well with both (just not against us).
Smylie confirmed gone to Blacktown, maybe this means we're getting a Visa striker....Jordan Smylie looks to have joined Blacktown City - https://mens.nplnsw.com.au/2021/09/23/mallia-returns-as-blacktown-city-strengthen-for-new-season/
Always gave a big effort and had a positive attitude but I wouldn't say he changed any games off the bench last season. Hopefully he has a good season with a strong Blacktown side
Sad munford should come back to MarinerWas chatting with him a few weeks ago. Has signed with a decent NPL club up there. Was hoping to come back here but it wasn’t to be unfortunately
Why is he sad Gibbo?Sad munford should come back to Mariner
