ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Porter should not be playing at RB except as an injury replacement. Some have suggested that Wilko should be playing there, but your premise is that he will stay central with doig? What about Griffiths?

Porter does ok at RB, Wilko there was a V1 position, those calling for him to move back there need to build a bridge and get over the fact that he's a centreback now.  With the money we have to play with and what we want to sign I can't see a specialist RB coming our way.

As for Doig and Griffiths, Griffiths has been signed as a centreback from what I understand so read what you want into that.

If we are talking about the same midfielder as Deej was talking about he will be a welcome addition. Jury will still be out on him alittle bit though as he hasn't proved himself at any senior level yet.

Agreed, but neither had Smeltz really when he joined the HAL

Ahhh I got it.

Yes a very very handy player. Would be most pleased if it is true. I've suggested it before but got blown out of the water for it.

TBH I wouldn't have thought he'd come back just yet.

Obviously after the last few signings he wasn't a target anymore, but to officially rule out any interest in Chippers, he has signed on again for Basel.

No matter who it is (and yes I think there are enough clues) we seem to be going for a very young side, without major stars, unless Maradona and Veron are the Argies we are after...
And, after having no one with a left foot by the end of last season we seem to be cornering the market.

Sometimes you need to take one step back to go two steps forward. See Mile Jedinak.

Man we need some news, this thread has been dead for 15 days.

According to the official facebook page for the club today re Daniel McBreen - "he has found a house on the Coast and will be training with the boys when they return from their off-season break on Monday!"

What about someone like Lee Hendrie to solve out Centre Mid problems.

He is still only 32 and was a great player for Villa in his prime.  Apparently he is a Derby player now on loan to Brighton.

I haven't seen him play since he was at Stoke a couple of years ago but I'd imagine he would look brilliant in HAL.
