ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Funny thing about them playing there - they haven't had a crowd bigger than 45k (i.e. bigger than the SCG will hold) since 2008. I can't see the point of the exercise anymore. [/off topic]

No probs. Looks like they may crack 20000 which begs the question as to why it was never held at bluetounge all along

I hope we at get to 30,000, which would be a good crowd considering we`re away from the coast, out of season & playing a team supported by Scots ,(well known for holding on to their $$$$).

25 000, tops.

Less than 20 000 if the weather decides to be rubbish.

Estimate for Mariner part of the crowd?

1,500 tops

Too true unfortunately. I do know some folks from the Coast who are going who are off Scottish Heritage and follow Celtic. From what I am hearing there will be a very large contingent of Celtic supporters there. Maybe we can rope in some Rangers supporters to even the numbers up!

A bit embarrassing that Celtic supporters get 20-odd bays and we get 6... and even then we couldn't even fill half a bay with standing, singing fans.

Apart from that... I'm choosing to be optimistic with crowd guesstimates here and go with 40k. Hopefully we will get lots of Mariners fans, lots of Celtic fans, and lots of fans from other teams that want to see either of the teams actually playing get their arses handed to them by the other one.

For those that don't understand the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers check out the following link. I am sure a few of these could be sung at the game on Sunday (where's Lawrie when you need him).

Very happy to go out again (like last night and last Tuesday) and see and support my team but this is just a pre-season trial game, albeit against somewhat more robust opposition.

In terms of football spectacle I went to the SFC Festival of Football and I consider this even less of one due to it being a one-off.

Not sure why ALL Mariners supporters have been given a far from action behind the goals location, but I presume as all the purple is GA we can always move around into other bays?

I was not suggesting that the sectarian songs be sung. There are some other good chants in there by the looks.

Might want to check that map again - it says Yellow Army behind the goals. I'm sure that just being a Mariners fan doesn't mean you have to buy a ticket in that section and nowhere else. It's the same during the season, and the same in finals - a section for the rowdy (active, vocal, whatever) ones, and the rest of the stadium for everyone else.

Oh ok.

When I booked from a motel room in Ballarat on a dodgy modem and 8" screen all I saw was words: Mariners GA.

That is what is on my ticket.

Hadn't seen the plan until just today.
