ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

When my family dog was 14 she was attacked by another dog within an inch of her life, my mother decided she couldn’t just let our dog pass away and be out of pain. So she did everything to just keep her kicking a little for another year. It was heart breaking as she couldn’t even walk more than 5 metres at a time.
The way f**king Michael Charlesworth has underfunded this football club since he took over ownership is in my eyes is identical to the situation of my family dog a few years ago.
This has all been one extremely slow heart breaking death of our football club. The tiny community club that could. The same club that former playing legends are embarrassed to be associated with.
Please sell up or f**king put us out of our misery and hand the license back. Because everyone is sick of supporting the shit we have to because we love this sport and love our region.

WHY DO YOU OWN THIS CLUB?

THIS

Our ‘Owner’ was in Sydney in the week but couldn’t even be arsed to hang around long enough to stay and watch today’s game.

Perhaps if he had, he might have a slight inkling of the crushing hurt that the rest of us fans have been feeling for what feels like an eternity.

Mike Charlesworth - please either euthenise the club or back it, there is no third option you dill.

I have stood by this club, it's management and owners for the past 15 years but I am now beyond caring. You have made a laughing stock of our once great club and have blamed coaches, players and even us fans but enough is enough. We are the ones who pay to suffer through this. Each year we pay our memberships, buy our merch and believe that this year will be the one that turns it all around - we must be mad. Yes Charlesworth loses well over a million a year but he will lose more when there are no fans left. There is no community any more, there is no family and if nothing changes there will be no club. Is management not telling Charlesworth the truth or are they too scared for their jobs? Who would want to play for us now? I'd take a chance with the FFA owning us at the moment .

If the license goes back to the FFA it won't be to stay on the Coast so I don't want to take that chance.

Its becoming obvious MC's combined never having owned and managed a club, hardly ever here, and wanting sign off on all key decisions is not working......

From Hal 1, I have missed maybe a handful of home games.... but we are not Hal quality its that simple and I will find it hard to attend any more this season and next season is highly unlikely...

I suggest you move our next game to Plum Park and hire some extra lights .... at least that way you won't loose as much on stadium hire and the ground will look full...

I can walk to the games as well. Good plan Middy.

I disagree here. At a time when the HAL needs all the positive publicity it can get, it would be a terrible look for the game if they relocated a club that's (still) more successful than Perth, Jest, Melbourne City and the Nix simply because of a single bad owner. On top of that, if the HAL wants to expand to new regional areas in future (I'm assuming it does?) it would notably undermine confidence in any potential bids from those areas knowing they could win every domestic trophy available, produce a whole lot of Socceroos players, tick every box expected of a HAL club and then get punted because they get taken over by an incompetent owner- which (sadly) isn't restricted to CCM or even the A-League.

Is it at all possible for one of the more well known guys on here to organise a meeting in the off-season with the owners, to stress the complaints from the fans and perhaps to put a little perspective into things, because something has to give.

If the owners see first hand how difficult it has been for the supporters group across the past 5 years, maybe, just maybe, we might see some change

I fear another season of underinvestment may lead us to an inevitable death.

Edit - what Capn said.
