ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Maybe I am being paranoid, but I have a bad feeling about this upcoming 1-to-1 meeting with the FFA.

There has been no new signings and as far as I am aware no players have had their contracts renewed.

It's as if the club has no plans for next season.

The talk from MM saying, we hope to get a few players in towards the end of the season sounds like a lie.

With all that, coupled with our poor on-field performance I can only speculate that something bad is coming.

It is a worry, but at the same time with the start we’ve had if I was in the management group I’d be thinking will MM be here next year? Should we be letting him decide who we keep for longer. There’s a few that we should lock in without question but a lot of the team has to be up for review.

Only 18k viewers for yesterday’s game. This can be entirely attributed to the pathetic management of Shaun and Charlesworth as it has never been this low before.

Figures are down across the board. Apparently the take up of streaming is having an effect. @midfielder can probably talk to the effect better.

lol it was a match between the two smallest A-League clubs, only one of which has a viewing audience interested in Australia - and it was directly up against the first cricket ODI and network news bulletins.

Don’t worry. It’s just a feeling brought on by many many experiences of bad things coming your way as a CCM fan. Breathe deep into the suffering and enjoy the fruits of your membership.

This is lowest watched match of the year (and recent memory) and being up against the cricket is hardly a new concept for the a-league. People are switching off as they are no longer interested in watching a basket case. It doesn’t take a magnifying glass to see this strong decline. And streaming viewership doesn’t make the difference (the FFA would be trumpeting that line if it was the case).

I’d be interested in the total viewing numbers for the A League over this recent saturation of games. It’s almost been every night

Foxtel averages across the season have been around 60-70k - Ten Bold do not regularly release their figures, but they are higher than Foxtel’s. Only one team’s viewership has dropped out of line with general trends. Want to guess which team that is?

And yes there has been a general drop over this period (high amount of games, cricket); however, as Foxtel and other tv execs have said to the FFA, these are not new factors. The Mariners knew this and, instead of improving their operations, they made a decision to chase Bolt.

Got O'Neill back, we're starting to show good signs in our structure.....I'm feeling good about Wed - but it ALL comes down to our back line and whether we give away a penalty.
It was good to see the hunger from the players in the first half against the Nix. We did play well, inspiring stuff.
Hopefully the 2nd half didn't erase the hunger.
Unfortunately I think the players may now be damaged goods and unable to produce results. Hope I can be proven wrong against city.

While I and others have raised the point of how much Shaun should be held accountable for the recruitment of the football department (well, the head coaches, we don't know what his involvement is in other decisions), I also think that Shaun can take responsibility for some of the initiatives that have been engaging the fans, it seems that the club has been working really hard to prevent attendances from dropping even lower.

This.
I would imagine Shaun and Dan from memberships would look at these results and cringe.
