ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

LOL.

Probaly right Fulham but he is the most natural Capt in the squad aside of his problems with Lawrie.

In your opinion... do you think 1. Wilko deserves the aremband in the fisrt place?

2. Wilko deserves a starting spot in the team if we had a fit squad?

I just dont think the 1st question is one that any of us are qualified to answer, we dont know them or work with them so we cant judge.

As to the 2nd, I think some competition at the back would be good for everyone, not just Wilko

Fair enough but you are fence sitting on the first question. To me Wilko's captaincy smacks of favourtism (just like Kwas getting a starting berth).
Having said that Lawrie is doing a brilliant job overall.

when does wilko look comfortable?

True, well, more so than usual then 'cause even blind freddy could see he was struggling in defence.

Having a bet each way? Is Lawrie doing a brilliant job overall by having Wilko as captain because he's a favourite?

Wilko played like a Captain today!!!!! Finally led from the front and used the ball when he had it.

still badly let himself down on dodd's effort saved past the post by redders, but the rest of the game looked... well... like wilko again. great stuff, and that second half looked much better across the board.

wilko was beaten on the sideline, then bojic was beaten on the top corner of the box before dodd nutmegged wilko with the shot. also of note in that movement was that clark allowed an adelaide runner to ghost in at the far post - could easily have scored in spite of the super save.
other than that i thought he was very good - back to normal.

I didn't think Wilko was beaten, he held Dodd off and Dodd skirted around Wilko just as Bojic came into the fold from behind. Dodd then beat Porter. Fortunately, Wilko had dropped in behind Porter to cover and yes, Wilko did get nutmegged in his desperation to block the shot.
