ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Bye Nik (but we'll meet again)

Doesnt mean he wont be comming back tho.

Why not give him the chance to play ACL & earn a bit of coin. We have nothing to play for

Mrdja arrives in Nik of time

Melbourne Victory has moved swiftly to strengthen its striking stocks ahead of its match against North Queensland Fury at Etihad Stadium tonight, signing Central Coast Mariners forward Nik Mrdja as an injury replacement player for Billy Celeski.

Mrdja, 31, will join his new teammates for the first time tonight and could make his debut for the club against Fury after marquee striker Archie Thompson was yesterday ruled out for four weeks with a foot injury and fellow forward Robbie Kruse continues to manage a shoulder injury.

Mrdja, who netted 12 goals in 42 appearances for Central Coast and has one Qantas Socceroos cap to his name, has been signed until August this year and will feature in the Hyundai A-League 2010 Finals Series and the AFC Champions League 2010.

"This is a great opportunity for Nik to join us for the last two rounds of the Hyundai A-League season, the Finals Series and the ACL," Melbourne Victory Football Operations Manager Gary Cole said.

"While we think this is the deepest squad that we've ever had with great youth and experience, having another striking option is fantastic and gives us a really nice balance.

"The news we had yesterday about Archie was a concern and with Robbie's shoulder also a concern, we moved to sign Nik, who is big, tall, strong and quick and in very good form at the moment, having scored six goals this season.

"Nik will fly into Melbourne today and because of circumstance should find himself at least on the bench tonight against North Queensland."

Mrdja, who made his international debut for Australia in a friendly against Argentina at the MCG in 2007, joined Central Coast from Sweden's AIK Solna in 2005 and has made 17 appearances this season."

Cant make finals, opportunity to save wages = good economic sense.

Not communicating or explaining and treated the "members" like mugs = wankers

To be fair, Heff was going anyway so might as well blood someone else. Personally i believe Nik getting more game time and experience with Melbourne will benefit us greatly next year. He has signed for us so no worries there. He's still a bit off his best so needs games under his belt.As will Wee Macs loan to Motherwell, and hopefully the World cup will sharpen his game. Time to think of next year and missing these guys gives the yoof an oppurtunity.

It is good that he is coming back and that it saves the club money. Hopefully (perhaps wishful thinking) means a little more expenditure next season to be genuinely competitive.

Does seem to be very much that the fans/members are the last to hear of any overall direction. Next years coach is a big one- Lawrie quoted in the daily tele today as not going anywhere. Who knows what the case is anymore!
