ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Bosnich a Mariner ?????

I hope the FFA contract him to talk to young players about his experience. He could be a great role model and guide for young aussie players in the future.

Mark Bosnich was invited to the FIFA Congress (source http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,23593390-11088,00.html).....and he has a deep respect and regard for our goalkeeping coach.....so who knows.  ;)

yes - (i think it was QPR he was with) - the team he was training with actually organised a friendly match with a championship or league one side to test him out. he kept a clean sheet too
The match wasn't to test him out. I thought that the story was that the guy who was going to play in goals pulled out on the morning of the match due to illness, so Bosnich played instead.

No the match was organised for trial purposes with Bosnich always meant to be starting in goals. He's been training full time with QPR and someone earlier asked how old he is - he's the same age as Mark Schwartzer, actually a few months younger if i remember correctly. If he can return to peak fitness he has at least 3 years top level football left in him. I'd say he has to sign a professional contract for next season to give himself a real go though.

I watched an interview recently with him stating he would 'prefer to remain in England' but is open to all offers and would also love to return to home. He looked fit and seemed to have his life back on track, regretting his past and keen on the future and huge ending to his career. Good on him and good luck to him I say!

Bosnich the newest Mariner ???? (on that most reputable of websites....4-4-2)

http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/77098,bosnich-the-newest-mariner.aspx

Lawrie MacKinna and Lyall Gorman are to meet mark Bosnich this week during the FIFA Conference....with a view to offering him the goal-keeping duties at the Mariners.

Bosnich is a long time admirer and friend to the Mariners goalkeeping coach, (John Crawley) and was in contact with him about the possibility of joining a NSW-based A-league team before he returned to Sydney to take part in the FIFA Coaching conference this week. With Danny Vukovic out until November, Bosnich has a unique chance to get back to form and show his potential in front of Pim Verbeek. Both Gorman and McKinna are keeping close mouthed about this until after he's signed as they don't want him joining another NSW team.

Bosnich is keen to mend some broken family ties by remaining (and playing) in NSW.

If the rumour is also correct - he has already ruled out the roar.

He looks in decent nick and has dropped a lot of KG's

If he came I think it would be safe to say Danny would be sold to someone OS

IMO superpom from Sydney is full of shit

I'm sure you are right.....every "rumour" on 4-4-2 is full of shit.....and the comments are even funnier

The comments by 442 on the rumors posted by people are now just taking the piss instead of giving them proper ratings

The great deal of shit "rumours" that are posted on there really doesn't help anything.
I like this rumour and it's definitely possible. Hell, stranger things have happened...

Dont mean to add another spanner in the works but it was on the prime news last night. It mentioned the drainage at bluetounge and the Bosnich signing.

Bosnich himself said he hasn't been contacted by any A-League clubs.  Below paragraph was taken from an article from the daily telegraph:  http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,23779041-5006068,00.html

He is reluctant to be drawn on those options, for fear of appearing presumptuous if they don't happen. But they may include playing - he says he hasn't been contacted directly by any A-League club, though there are rumours that a couple are circling - and you get the sense he wants to retrieve what he can of that once steepling career.

perhaps he hasn't been contacted directly but maybe his agent has - if he has one

I'll love him as a short term signing but Danny would be first choice once he has served ban.

thats true assuming he doesnt fully regain his form (which is most likely)
HOWEVER...no offence to Danny- but if Bosnich regained top form he would be 1st choice (in several months very unlikely) we are taking about someone who was arguably one of the top keepers in the world if not the best! Such a talented GK he was...and my 1st favourite player...( i was 9 at the time I think- and used to be a GK)
